Pan spacer. bro! There were tons of 340 go fast pans made then the 360 came around and it was like WTF, lets make a spacer so we can run our 340 pan on a 360...This guy made them once for under $40...Rick Liuzzo (570)561-1746

I dont know if i had an oil pan spacer. Ill need to check on it.

no, only difference is when you're changing pan styles
(and the oddball deep sump pans, but they require their own pickup anyway)

if you did, the 318 pan wouldn't have leaked

No the orginal pickup tube was for the van which it wouldnt work for the car oil pan. I bought a new oil tube for a 318. My engine is a 360

The pans are different so yeah. The 360 pickups 8've seen will run too far up into the front of the sump and starve the pump on accel.
Iirc Im running a 360 p/u with a couple inches taken out. But my memory, ehhh...
So there never was an original motor (318) in the car when you got it?
