my engine is blowing oil out of the dipstick tube it started doing this after i put a different set of valve covers on which are those cast aluminum mopar performance once can anyone give me a hint on what to do to take care of this problem it didnt leak oil till i did this:violent1:

Do you have breathers installed in the covers? They don't come with them installed.

i got them out of a junk yard for 50 bux but i have a breather on one side the other side someone jb welded a brass freeze plug in it

you need a PCV valve going to your carburetor. you have to have the crankcase vented or you will blow oil out where you dont want it to

You really should have a breather on one side and a PCV on the other hooked to manifold vacuum.

You are building crankcase pressure and that's why you are getting blow by.

so i need em on both sides cause the breather is like a pcv with the valve and its hooked up to the carb

i have these same valve covers. i have one PCV on one side going to my carb and that is all. i dont have any pressure build up. old valves can get clogged. i would get a new PCV .they are like 5 bucks

OK, I'll post a pic, is it set up like this? Which one do you have one like the driver side, or one like the passenger side?

nevermind that last one but its on the driver side the passenger side hole is jb welded shut

OK, let me ask this. Is that cap on the back side open on the bottom with holes around it? If so that's your problem you aren't pulling air through the engine, just from the cap.

Nice covers for 50 bucks.
