I checked all wires and bulbs and fuses and connections Theres no power coming from my headlight switch other than for the headlights and the ceiling light do I need a new switch?

Without knowing what vehicle, The headlight power does go straight through the switch. The switch also sends power out another wire to the park lamp fuse. This is the only fuse that is not hot before the headlight switch is pulled to first dent/position. All other fuses are hot at all times or hot in run.
Sounds as though you have diagnosed and proven the headlight switch is the fault.

That's all you need. The rest is just fluff

Okay cool is it hard to change cause I have the gauge cluster partially out right now but I don't know how to take it all the way out or if I even need to to change the switch

Again, depends on the car you are working on.
A lot of the switches for headlights are (well you know) so the cluster being partially out could be a good thing.
Bet you could even find a pinout diagram for the switch online somewhere with a Google search.

The switch has a small stem release button on one side, either bottom or right. They are oriented differently in different vehicles so I'm guessing. Feel around for it. Disconnect battery, pull stem to full on. Push that small button so stem pulls the rest of the way out. Work bezel nut off, switch falls out. Remove its harness connector. Or you could put the stem back in, reattach battery and further diagnose. anyway...
Don't push the little button when reinstalling the stem. The stems tapered point should guide it past the latch.

Disconnect that battery. Nobody needs an ammeter welded to their dashboard.

Could even test a new switch in there without even removing the old one from the cluster.

So I got a new headlight switch and it's not fixed there's no power coming out of any wires except the light green on and the yellow one every thing else doesn't work and it's a 1975 Plymouth duster

Closest diagram I have is 73 model ( same switch for all models though ). As far as I know, You're supposed to have power out on the tan wire going to the park lamp fuse.
