I want to use a unique air cleaner lid on my 6 bbl. The engine has a lot of aluminum on it and I think the stock painted lid would look out of place.
Plus I'm going to use these valve covers.
But I don't think this lid would look good on it.
Now, which do you think would look better:
OK...OK...CALM DOWN! I know what this is SUPPOSED to be mounted on *, but admit it, it's a good looking piece. In a recent event coverage in one of the Mopar mags there was a picture of a `69 `Cuda that had a 440-6bbl. with this lid, painted, mounted on a stock engine and it looked GREAT! I figure the chrome would compliment my engine.
OR.....
Although I'm not 100% in love with the flames, I think flowing body-colored paint into the milled flame lines might make this POP nicely, especially after it's been polished up.
But the again....
Keep
It
Simple
Stupid
Opinions please!
* And for those whom are tempted to bash me for thinking of mounting a Chevy air cleaner on my small block, please don't post. We're all adults here (hopefully...) and I'm just trying to tastefully make my car stand out.
