Thought it would be good to have a thread where we can all post our personal bests. I've seen individual threads where people post them but not a centralized one. 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, whatever...lets see yiur own bests. There should be new bests out there as we work on the cars and impove them so post 'em up and repost as you hit your new bests!

I hit mine last night at a "Footbrake Friday" event in my 408 avatar street/strip 72 Demon. DA was 1111 at 59deg. Track seemed sketchy as my 60' times were slow and my 1/8 time was off by .05 from last week. But still made my 1/4 mile best.

How about we add a category for the worst best time? I shaved mine from 19.8 to 19.1 with a tune-up and valve adjustment. 66 Valiant that still has the original untouched slant, three-on-the-tree.

For what it's worth:
11.11 at 122 in my Mopar
10.60s in a friend's GTX
1.35 60, 4.04 330, 6.32 at 108 in the eighth, in my Tina.

1983, 20 sec. 3sd (727) 2:76 geared 3700 pound car. stock everything 318 car
2019 11.86 727 4:56 12.8:1 compression 408 Hyd roller. same interior/exterior with SS Spring and 10" slicks
1/8 mile so far, is a 1.77 60' 7.76 @87 mph.
Both the same car........I'm a slow learner:poke::rolleyes::lol:

2019, My mates Mild hyd. cammed 440, 10:1?, 950HP carb/rpm intake hdrs, SS springs, std type rear shocks, 90/10 front in a 3800lbs RR, best 12.47@106 through muffs, 4.10's street/race radials

2020, Mild 10:1cr 589ci wedge, big 365cnc heads, small s/roller, same 950HP carb, 2.18" TTI's, 440-2, same 90/10's, caltracs/mono's/9-ways, low 1st gear 727, street/strip 4200 stall, 4.10's/10x29 bias, through the muffs, best so far 10.30@130 in 2021, 1.42 60's.

Friday Night @ Edgewater in the Cincy area, I had my PB in my '67 Barracuda:
R/T: 0.8655
60': 1.7039
330': 4.8419
1/8th: 7.516
1/8th MPH: 91.07
1000': 9.8416
1/4 Mile: 11.8316
1/4 Mile MPH: 113.18

I have only had the car running and driving since May. About 3,000 street miles, and 14 1/4 mile passes this summer.
Combo:
440, Trick Flow heads, Howards Hydraulic Roller, Weiand Tunnel Ram, 2x Edelbrock 800cfm AVS2, 727 Manual valve body, PTC 9.5" converter (very loose, flashes at 4500), Strange S-60 with 3.73 gears, 28 x 11.5 Mickey Thompson dot street R's. The car weighs 3740lb with me in it. (i weigh 230)

I'm not very experienced in racing but i think i need to send my converter to PTC to have it redone. I think my 60' times, and trap speeds are a little low. I was expecting to be closer to 1.5 60' and 120mph at the traps. My driving needs to improve as well, as i get more experience!

best 60 = 1.24
best 1/8 = 5.75
best 1/8 mph = 120
Best 1/4 = 9.09
best mph = 148.6
worlds slo-est W8 n/a small block ;)

Same motor I am running now .. 367 c.i. small block ( 360 Magnum short block / W2 heads ) with 11.5 to 1 compression back then and with 4.56 gears ... picture taken around the same time in 2007.. now running 10 to 1 compression on pump gas with 4.30 gears has gone 11.00s and is " slowed " to run 11.50s for class and index .. last picture is from a few weeks ago

Swapped in a higher stall converter this past spring and have a best 60’ of 1.54 but sadly lost 3 MPH and 2 tenths in the 1/8 on a recent run as compared to the above. Can you say “loose” converter!

I'm curious about which converter, and whose? (The 60 is VERY respectable for your tank!)
My last converter swap was a custom, built for my car, and the results were exactly opposite of yours. Et improved two tenths and three mph, in the eighth.

Went from a TA 3500 tight to an FTI 4000 “hard hit” Launching off idle and the TA always flashed to 3500, with the FTI I’m seeing roughly 4600 off idle.it’s a loose type, probably better suited for a 340 -360, not a very torquey 410. It’s more on me than FTI as I didn’t consult for a custom. I bought the FTI early on for a planned engine upgrade and then changed things so I now have a mismatch. It’s coming out and going back to them for a correction, after proper consultation.

Have you calculated what it is slipping at the stripe?

Unfortunately not yet. If the difference in rpm @60mph as compared to the TA I ran is any indication it’s significant. I want to say it’s about an additional 400rpm more to run 60.
