photos IN posts

How do you put photos IN posts? The photo icon requires a web address for the picture. Is there no other way? I am putting them in my gallery, but that makes it harder for potential buyers.

LOAD all your photos to a hosting site such as Photobucket.com

THEN....after your our photos are loaded on Photobucket......bring up (2) windows....

(1) FABO - Start New Thread

(2) Photobucket -YOUR LIBRARY, with photos you have uploaded.

THEN.....start typing your thread.....wherever you want to insert a pic......leave the Cursor.....and goto the photobucket window and select the IMG / xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx / IMG link for the picture you want to use....click the picture IMG Link...it should say "copied"....then go back to the FABO window and if the cursor is in the right spot....hit Ctrl-V (paste).
Once you get done typing your thread/question/statement...hit SUBMIT.
Done. Pictures will be forever HOSTED into your thread....from Photobucket.

No click go advanced then the paper clip then browse and upload from phone or pc

You have to resize the photo first with resizing software like Windows live photo gallery or another photo editing software.

Then in the advanced reply screen here. There's a little paper clip looking
icon at the top of the text screen. Like this.

When you put your cursor over it it says attachments click it.
It drops down a menu to browse for the photo on your computer you want to post.

Once you have browsed and found the photo you want double click it and it will load to one of the blanks . After you have all your photos entered click the upload button at the lower right. it sometimes takes a bit of time to upload the photos. It depends on the what you resized them to and how many you are uploading.

You do not HAVE to have an external hosting site. Do a search, somewhere on this board, there's a huge thread on how to post and resize photos.

There are two ways to post a photo,

1--as said above, use an external hosting site

2--You can use this very site. If you do not see the "paperclip" icon immediately above your posting text box, go immediately below and tap the "go advanced" button

Both photos below were posted by taking screenshots of this very post, cropping and scaling them to 600x *** pixels

So hit the "paper clip" which will open a separate window. Hit browse, pick the photos you want to upload from your computer and hit upload. When they are done uploading, some icon(s) and text will appear at the bottom of the window. Hit "close" at top right of that window, and when you "save" your post there they will be:

who cares about resizing? just blow up everybody's monitors with your huge pictures and make the mods resize them.

Seriously though, Prine's advice is the best if you have no idea what you're doing and want to use an external site.

Except for the fact that if you use a photo sharing site and then close the account or move the photos from one folder to another then the linked photos get deleted out of the thread.

How many times have who started looking through a pic thread to see pics deleted in the post because of the above?

If you upload directly from your computer to the site, the pics stay in the thread.

If you don't resize they may not upload.

Instead of resizing,set your camera or phone to 640x480 pixels.Pics will then load with no resizing.
