Powder Coating ...

So does this mean I may finally see my parts?

Roger, you can see them any time you wish. I'd prefer to show them to you after I'm done though but I can send them home as is if your patience has become exhausted.

Please recall that when I took the job on it was made clear that pot metal restoration is something I do because I enjoy the work and because trim restoration shops are not as prevalent now as they used to be. It is not and has never been the primary focus of my business. I'm the first to admit that when I put out the word I was doing it at all I got totally overloaded almost immediately, and since then I've slowly been getting those jobs done as time permits. I have not taken on a single new "pot metal restoration job" in three years and won't until these last few are finished, if at all.

Leanna did a fantastic job on my 340 air cleaner. It looks soooo sexy on top of my engine.

Thanks guys!

Roger, it's Liquid Smoke, that black chrome. It's here, still untried. For what it's worth, yours is the next pot metal job in line when time permits.

Leanna's work is undoubtedly outstanding. Here is my proof. This should be getting bolted on my engine very soon (finally).

Thank you for adding your thoughts to this thread! I laughed when I saw that second pic tonight just as I did when I took it. It's always made me think of the Starship Enterprise in that layout. :-D

Presently 19 jobs in line, about average. I finished four and got five new, arrivals this week. No rest for the wicked ... 25-50 in line over the winter isn't unusual.

I've kept a due date calendar for several years. Tell me what you have in mind and when you need it, and we can talk.

Thats not to bad right now, but I better get out in the garage and get my engine apart. We've talked on Facebook, but I'll be touching base with you again very soon. Thanks

Wow I didnt realize until now we get a hand job with powder coat. I may have to dig something up for a coating. lol Great work as usual.

:-D You know me. I try to keep it fun AND get the work done. Customer Appreciation Gifts are just that, and I love to give them out as a little Thank You. I think I have ten bars left right now.

I also got in some AMAZING new shop decals from our beloved Mike the sign guy in Canada!! (Sorry, your handle escapes me at the moment ... it was a long week.) He's the best!!! If you'd rather have a cool new sticker than a Hand Job just let me know.

Mike's handle is 2darts - and your right, he's the best!

Oh thank you Ken! I knew that -- it was just buried too deep earlier. I also have the always wonderful "2 Darts" Steve as a customer so keeping them straight has always been a chore.

I didn't do one for 2016 Karl. You're always a day ahead of the game anyway so just reuse yours. :-D

A 2018 bump for the newbies!!!

Still cranking it out since 2007 ...
