the pan plate installed is welded right to the 2.5 square tub that also re enforces the cross member and holds the rack this made the hole structure rock solid

in the next few pics you will see the hole section is fully boxed into the frame making it work like it is part of the full structure

dont worry about the holes you see they will all be filled in and ground

the outer edge of the stock frame was trimmed of and then welded shut

Hey Joe,

It's funny how we both had to notch the K member to get our oil pan to fit. I'm using a Milodon flat bottom pan (no dropped sump) and external lines to the pump; what about you?

i have 11 inches with the drop and a stock 7 inch 354 hemi pan clears with 3 inches to spare

and by the way have started installing my coil overs bilstine mono tube and just finished making my top and bottom bolt spacers as well

the car is so light in the front i can lift it right up off the wheel cradle and i have no spine left

have not updated for a while so here is what has been done
brake lines have been run and master temp. installed
fuel lines installed and motor mounts finished

here are the pics

now its time to remove all the old paint replace the inner fenders and prep every ting in the engine bay for new paint

Hey Joe,
Great to see the amazing amount of progress you've been making.
I saw a stunning Signet at the SEMA show a week or so ago; just wish the hood had been open to see what they'd done under there.

Got a question on your build; with the length of the shaft coming out of the steering rack are you considering any type of a support near the lower u-joint?

Keep up the great work!

will be mounting a special plate and bearing mid way up the lower shaft to hold it in place tight

well here is the latest pics I now have the trans adapter done and the trans bolted to the hemi ready for some more work this week

just to let you know this car was canned as when i removed the front fenders the inner fenders and firewall where to far gone to save so i built this

LOL! Well that was a long time and a massive change, but very cool result. A Hemi wagon, talk about a surprise to an unsuspecting competitor!
