And they give me a hard time about how low my car sits!

That's going to be wicked little ride. Not enough 1st gens out there. Keep at it because this one is going to be fun to watch!

sorry for just catchin' up....but does your hot rod have perimeter frame rails that the body sits on and the rails connect the rear section to the front?

Is that a Morrison?
Yep. They'd never done a 1st gen Barracuda before, so this is custom. I lengthened the wheelbase by 1.5 ", so that the rear wheel is now centered in the wheel well. It's always bothered me that the rear wheels on these cars look like they're too far forward.

Been staring at that Morrison chassis for over two decades. I'm gonna do a HDK/ Mopar version of a full frame for my next project.

My wife wonders how I go to sleep so easy....that is where I have been building it for the last 25 years.

I love how the fender drops over the front tire.....someone should get nominated for the Houdini Builders Award when you can drop the fenders that low and still turn the rack full lock to lock.

Yeah, that's pretty crazy - not as much clearance as you would think is needed.

Getting ready for the arrival of the flaming river steering column on Monday. It's pretty clear that it's not going to be anywhere near the original location.

Also going to have to make a new instrument cluster.

Man, that dash is WAY up there.

Awesome man. That’s going to be something ! I’m not the biggest fan of slammed cars but this looks freakin great! Giving me all kinds of ideas. Lol.

Took the day off yesterday to attend the kids Valentines day functions at school. After dropping them off, I drove to a sand blaster a few towns over. Dropped off four pieces, and was told the current lead time is 1-2 weeks. He asked when I needed them, and I told him, well, I had a 45minute drive down, and also have the day off, it would be awesome if I could drive back down later in the afternoon to pic them up. He said, I'll see what I can do.

This weekend's successful project: steering column done, and solid. Had to fab a mount from under the dash to the firewall.
