Punked...Mopars are too expensive !!!

Very Nice!
I'd trade the fart I'm working on for a finished car
like that in a NEW YORK minute.
I love my Dart, but they are a dime a dozen if you
want start over.
I had a 68 Firebird same color in and out, most fun car. 400cid

I feel your pain on trying to find time and parts along with trying to learn how to do a restoration. I had a 70 Duster that sat in my garage for 8yrs. I was going to make a 340 clone out of it. Finally gave up and sold it and then found a 1971 340 Demon with a 5 yr old restoration that was only driven to car shows. I could never have built a clone for what I paid for a done car. Some of us do not have the patience or skills to restore a car so for me this worked out great. I sold the Dart you see after I got the body style I always dreamed of having.

nothing wrong with that I had a 67 'maro .However we're gonna have to revoke your handle . Henceforth you will be no longer known as txdart .J/K

Hey that is TX Yellabelly you LOL

Heh...I always thought Mopars were cheap compared to the other domestic brands.

I usually had less in my entire car than Chevy guys had in their engine, and still beat em. One guy with a 454 Nova got so upset he went and mortgaged his house for a Lingenfelter 540 crate motor.

Just don't get upset when people walk around it real fast to get to that Challenger or 'cuda they are trying to look at. Anyhow good luck with it!

No comment.....

Do you need a towl to wipe the tears. Millions of cheap chinese chevys, and fords, thats why mopars are more its supply and demand, Im surprised you didnt get a 57 chevy everyone seams to have one of them too.
LOL.. Looks nice, it's just too bad it's a brand X!

A 68 Camaro Convertible would cost more than just about any finished Mopar A-Body.

Stop making excuses. You bought a Chevy because you are a Chevy guy.

I have owned a 68 Camaro SS 396 (325hp) and a 69 Camaro SS 350. They are good cars, just way overexposed.
And just not a MOPAR! come one guy's.. I thought it was Mopar or No Car!:protest:

Well after hoarding and buying up parts on here and craigslist...I can not find time or justify waiting to finish my project so I guess I sold out for a finished car.....

Congratulations!!! Sweet car!!!
You are learning.... just delete the problems.

I have been thinking along the same idea because I never have time to work on my cars. I still would want another convertible.

I own both a chevy and a mopar and i love both and have had many gm and a few mopar muscle cars over the years and 3 dodge rams as daily drivers so i dont know if thats a crime or what, i know some on this site realy get upset with guys who also like other brands ,i even like a few fords even though i never owned a ford muscle car.back in the day there was only the big three and detriot was king, usa sells more imports than anything, now that makes me sick i hate imports f toyata and those traders that buy that imported junk. as a guy who has built two cars in the last few years yes the mopar is a little more expensive to build but seems to be getting better with parts availability such as 440 souce etc. i have a sbc and i to call it a belly button motor its true there a dime a dozen but they are chaeper to build and get horsepower out of so it makes things easy. but i also think mopars are cool as all hell some of the best looking sheet metal out there and by that i mean body styling but i think car guys should together were a dying breed yes theres still a lot of us on the internet but you dont find many in your area in your day to day life atleast i dont ,my co workers think im nuts dumping so much money on cars and i tell them you dont even know how much you dont know .
** That's like being by sexual! lol.. Just kidding. I like all muscle cars. Just Mopar is by far the best!:D

Sweet ride. Building Mopars have always been a little tougher then fords or chevies and not everyone up to the task. Aftermarket has always favored chevies and fords you can buy every part you need to build one from the ground up. Just need a clean vin tag and you can build brand new car. Mopars are much easier to build today then 10 or 15 years ago now that AMD is making new sheet metal. I will stick with Mopars as I like to be differant. Good luck with your vert.:burnout:

dude i like fast cool american muscle cars, never ever had an import never will even if gas is 20 bucks a gallon, being loyal to just mopar is cool with me, but its like the guy who gets married to first women he sleeps with and spends the rest of his life with her its gonna get old,I test drove many before i setteled on one.

i have both a mopar and a chevy muscle car.. keeping the hobby alive is what its all about. oh by the way.. nice vert... and his money.. his car.. as for chinese parts.. most cars i have seen all have them. thats a fact.. from maybe a lug nut.. to a key blank not much stuff is pure anymore..

I know how you feel!
I had a '69 Camaro and thought it was way overpriced so I sold it and bought this ...
