I'm looking for the mpoar part # for oil through pushrods that one would use with magnum aluminum heads, roller rockers and LA type hydraulic lifters.
I stumbled across the :cussing: part # last week while look for something else on the mopar web site and now can't locate it. I remember they are 7.625" long and a mock up last night confirms that is what I require - now I just need to find the :cussing: part #.
Any help would be most appreciated as I have spent searching hrs since to no avail.

MP#5007477 pushrods, AMC V8 lifters MP#4529220 or CompCams #822.

I have also heard that Boss 302 pushrods work but can not confirm this.

Thanks on the part #
Yes the 69-70 Boss 302 is the same length in 3/8" dia.according to Crane.

FWIW, the 7.625 pushrods are $39 at Mancini Racing.

Also, I have the LA magnum head set up. I am using a Comp XE268H cam these pushrods only preload the lifters about 0.010" with the base circle on that cam and the stock stamped rockers. I get some valve clatter when I start the car in the morning that goes away once the car starts to warm up.

I decided to go to an adjustable rocker are (i.e. 1.6 ratio small block chevy) with a stud conversion kit from crane. The 7.625" push rods are way to short with the aluminum rockers to the point the rocker contacts the guide plate (plus the angle is all wrong). I have been told that a 7.800" sb chevy push rod is the right length but I will be checking this weekend with a checking pushrod.

I will be checking mine this weekend also, as I have the crane conversion too.
will let you know what I find out.

I checked mine and ordered 7.680 from Crane. My block has been decked to 9.585 so that will make a small difference. Crane makes a standard 7.700 if it helps you.
How many of the header bolt holes break through the sidewall of the exhaust port on yours- 3/4 on mine on the inside hole of the outside ports.
As they were used when I bought them - no warranty. They will be okay, just not good QC on Edelbrocks part.
Also, check the fit of the guides/stems, 2 of mine even after some miles are tight to my liking.

I do not have edelbrock heads mine are factory magnum heads, no bolt holes break through. Also, I haven't gotten to check the pushrod length's yet.

388dart, When you checked your push rod length were you able to get the sweep of the roller across the valve stem to center?

I played around with the pushrod so short that the body of the rocker contacted the guide plates to about 7.9" when the sweep was almost off the tip of the valve.

The 7.800" sb Chevy pushrod length that was recomended to me actually produced the smallest sweep but it was at around 1/3 to the exhaust side of center. Anything shorter had the same outboard point but started closer to the center.

Crane recomends keeping the sweep as short as possible and as close to the center as possible. I called their tech line and didn't get much help.

I know you have edlebrock heads but was wondering how well you were able to center the sweep of the roller? I am concerened that the off center roller will put too much side load on the valve stem and wear the guide prematurely.
