The winter of 2007 dropped a pretty healthy dump of snow.

I consider a large mouth bass in the 16" to 18" range, Eating Size. Between 18" and 20" it's a Bertha (named for a fat marriage aunt from my childhood). Anything over 20" is a Lucy, named for the world record set in 1931 that held for over 70 years. Caught my first Lucy in about 5 years! Not bragging rights in Alabama, but this was in New Jersey: 21", 4 lb 6.5 oz. I'll bet you can't guess what's for dinner tomorrow night?!?

My nephew turned 16 yesterday…. He wanted a 73 Duster for his birthday… parents got him a 5th Ave…. As well as a cake reminding him he didn’t get a Duster

This made me think of a time about 60 yrs ago when I asked my grandfather (first generation American - dad was from Denmark, mother from Sweden), “What are we?”

Pop did not hesitate, “We are Americans. Nothing else.”

So I asked, “Well, are we Danish-Swedish-Americans?” And he responded “Danes are in Denmark, Swedes are in Sweden, Americans are here. Nothing else. If we wanted to be considered Danish or Swedish, we would live in Denmark or Sweden.”

I learned a lot from him. I agree with Teddy Roosevelt.
Too bad I can't hit two buttons. Because I like AND agree!!!!!

Here's two for you

I musta been 4 at the time (I'm the cute blonde kid, the dark haired kid was my buddy Ruud, we went everywhere together as kids...been over 2 decades since j last saw him)

Looking back now, I can't imagine letting my 4 year old climb a slide like that on thier own...that thing has got to be all of 40 feet tall
