Those are pieces of gold directly from a vein at an open pit gold mine in Round Mountain, Nevada. I would guess about 70-80 lbs
Funny thing is the gold mine allows the geologists to go pick up these pieces of veinous gold following a big bench blast, before they come in with dozers and shovels to scoop up the loose gold bearing ore.
However, they do not mine for gold that is visible to the naked eye, they go for microscopic pieces of gold using a cyanide leech process.
