It's interesting that some heavy trucks body lines line up with lighter duty trucks even though those parts were never offered joined together from the factory.
I realize using pickup doors on heavy trucks saves money, but sometimes the lines on those could go any which way elsewhere on either body.
Also interesting that gm switched from pickup doors to van doors on heavy trucks sometime during the 2000's.
I've seen van bodies used to make extended and extended extended cabs for a few "heavy" pickup builds.

There was a racer in Poquoson VA in the '70s and '80s who had a very similar rig. Never saw it move from the driveway for at least 10 years. Never saw the funny car, just the truck.
