Oh hell yeah! The script and the acting was pretty crappy, but the action was fantastic, no cgi bullshit, it was all real, and some was unplanned. The scene where the Mustang spins out on the freeway and hits the light pole was not part of the script, but they kept it in the final edit.Way better than the remake!

I have it on DVD and some of the added features explain the unplanned crashes, and the actors were mostly friends of H.B.Halicki.
That Mustang still runs and drives, or it did when the bonus video was shot.
