I stopped in at the local thrift shop today to see if they had gotten any more cast iron cookware of interest (they didn’t).
However, they did have a pair of vintage ship hatch cover end tables for $100. The solid oak planks on these are 3” thick and 12” wide. Each table is 24” x 24”.
Together, they make a nice coffee table for the sofa in the family room. I think it was a bargain since you couldn’t even buy the lumber in them for $100.
Here they are untouched, just as I bought them…
