Whats up guys? What parts would you deem some of the more rare and hard to come by for our A Body cars?

I know Small Bolt Pattern wheels are not the easiest to come by, as are Manual Steering Boxes - these are just two that i've had some issues with in the past.

But what are your opinions on the subject? if you want, include other mopar bodies as well.

A lot of stuff on my '65 Barracuda is hard to find, especially chrome pieces and anything to do with the Formula S package like the tach, anti-sway bar etc. Any 4-barrel stuff is hard to find...basically everything!

Generally for a-bodies as a whole, I would have to say these parts are what I think are rare:

All a-bodies
- angled cast iron thermostat housing (flat on two sides)
- any interior part in red
- painted stock gas caps
- anything plastic

67-69 Dart and Barracuda big block exhaust manifolds, 893 oil pan, air cleaner, radiator, chrome valve covers, rallye dash or console tach.......etc.. Basically anything that`s big block specific for these cars.

a savage gt cuda
some misc chrome trim for my cuda, some of it will be hard to get
69 cuda grills in good condition (that are not a 2k on ebay)
Rear trunk pannel that isnt bent
Cuda fenders
cuda bucket seats

manual steering boxes are the same for a,b,c and e bodies. easy find and Flaming River sells new units.

67-69 Barracuda trim is hard to find, so are 71-72 Duster sharktooth grills.

A CHEAP tach sending unit. I don't see any way that little circuit board could cost more than a few bucks to make.....

Also, cheaper conversions for brakes

They just have us by the short hairs.

AM/FM thumbwheel radios and 4spd. consoles for 66-68 Darts and Barracudas. Oh, and that 68,69 Hurst 4spd. shifter that goes with the console.

I,m taking red out of my 69 cuda to go white. What I cant find is a lift off 66 coronet hood with a hemi or max wedge scoop.

reproduction 1968 & 1969 Dart performace hood. this is the main part to building clone performance Dart.

That stupid frigging long peice of chrome trim that goes along the bottom edge of the trunklid below the lock on a dart/scamp. At least one that dosen't have any dents or big scratches in it!!!

shark tooth grill, 6 pack, a good bench seat, spare tire cover a working gauge cluster
a wing, or original hood scoops

Mopar Plus PG Calssic Mopar have the new repro replacement ralley dash for $425.00. A few years ago when I first started looking for my duster a Sharktooth grill was goin for aroun $250 now I've seen them up in the $1,200 range thats CRAZY!

68 Dart GTS hood inserts. What`s the odds of a legit repro company perusing this thread and actually creating some knock offs?

340 blocks,340 manifolds,340 air-cleaner,65 Dart candy cane,22" ac radiator,trim pieces for anything,convertible sun visors,Dixco hood tach,front arm rests,lenses,bezels,mirrors,emblems,small bolt centers/trim rings.......
Dam is there anything left?

Some of this stuff is available, but I hope you brought your american express....... :blackeye:

Almost forgot, A-body buckets & tracks.....
