Red Headed Stepchild-75 Swinger LSX Swap

Well this weekend I got the stock harness, ecm a d fuse box pulled out of the dart to prepare for the holley kit.

I also recieved my gas pedal, 3 bar map sensor adapter harness(for the holley kit), and 2 new u bolts for the rear.

I also had my friend Reuben from 5150 motorsport come by and do a full cut buff and polish on the Dart to get it ready for the show on the 16th. The dart based never been this clean and shiney.

I pulled the emblems off and polished them so tjeyre just as shiney as the dart. Nice to have the original Saturday emblems and not some cheap plastic knockoff.

I finished up the cupholder for the console and got it installed. Now I'm just waiting on the holley kit to show up and then install it and go.

Well guys after a day full of rushing and thrashing to get the car done. It didnt end up 100% complete. More like 99.99%

I forgot to reattach the ground to the starter relay after relocating it, that's why itnwouodnt spin over in the video. Should have a new cold start video tomorrow and she should be back up and running.

After that initial startup video, I noticed a leak at the trans. A crush washer that didnt quite crush was the cause of it.

Got that buttoned up today, got the brake bled, and the gas pedal mounted. Also got the rear filled with fluids and snuggled up the grounds on the back of the heads and drained the water from the radiator and added a 50/50 mix since it's getting a little cooler out now.

We ran it for a few minutes at idle just make sure everything was happy. Should have a cruise video tomorrow before we take it to the show to seop it off Friday night. Then full on show coverage this weekend I doors at the convention center.

Well guys I made it to the Coastal Virginia Auto show last night at the very end of loading time. But got her in there and all setup. Time to see how something I built in the garage/storage unit matches up against all the frame off/body off six figure builds.

Engine bay pic from the show. Not a single negative comment so far. Awards tomorrow.

Also added this vinyl cutout that one of the vinyl vendors cut for me today.

Kids and I after the awards were presented.

I hopped in mine and drove it out of there when they opened the doors. Didnt drive a truck and trailer in there to load it on like almost everyone else. And I had the least amount of money in mine in the class.

Honestly I like yours better. Some cars just look over done and yours is just right.

Awesome job man! I've done a Toyota .e fi v6 swap years ago into an old Toyota camper. It was a lot of work but the satisfaction was/ is indescribable. I put a 5 speed in it and stoplight to stoplight it runs awesome prolly due to the 5.13 gears, but that old rag ALWAYS gets comments. Thanks for your service good luck on finishing it up. Really makes me feel lame putting in a magnum swap

Thank you all very much. It was alot of time and effort and literally got it done before the day of the show.

Unfortunately the heater core started leaking Sunday during the show, luckily after the judges had scored, but now I get to replace that. And I bothered up the trigger wire from the holley efi for the fan, I had it hooked up to the positive trigger, when the holley efi only grounds the relay. So j had a couple wires mixed up.

THATS WHY ITS IMPORTSNT TO READ THE ENTIRE PARAGRAPH, and not stop after the word "trigger".
Here is one of the shots one of the photographers took at the show. I like it alot.

We're going to hesd down to Fayetteville,NC on the 7th to run at the track against a friend of mine in his 88mm turbo ls foxbody and my twin brother in his 200 shot nitrous ls foxbody, and also to see the family. Time to make some passes before it goes in for the minitub this winter.
