Some jerk rear ended my 1964 dart convertible and bent my rear bumper all up. Does anyone have any tips on removing the rear bumper?

You would have to contact the chromer for that information.Shipping for that bumper?
Agree, especially when the bumper is as badly dented as this one. OP is probably gonna have to replace at least the left bumper bracket, not just the bumper. The correct way to remove a bumper is to unbolt the brackets from the car leaving the brackets on the bumper.

That was my line. Do I need to make a bumper removing video? lolUnbolt it and take it off.
Yes, luckily for me, the guy has insurance!I would unbolt the brackets from the car, since you will have to replace one of them anyway, and I am not sure the best way to do that. try penitrating oil (acetone and trans fluid) then heat, good luck. I see thousands of dollars worth of damage there, did they have insurance ?
I wouldn't get too excited yet. If like any Insurance Co I have ever delt with, They'll say it's totaled and offer you $25 take it or leave it !Yes, luckily for me, the guy has insurance!
Thanks for the tip! I'll look them up.Schlockfink, I see you're in Castro Valley. I used Auto Truck and Bumper Recyclers in Hayward CA (510-881-1886) for both of my bumpers on my '65 FS project. You're close, take it too them, see what they say. They do great work and also polish and repair trim parts, replated my air cleaner as well. Reasonably priced too. Bob
Man, that's depressing! I hope I get at least 27 bucksI wouldn't get too excited yet. If like any Insurance Co I have ever delt with, They'll say it's totaled and offer you $25 take it or leave it !
