Restoration of Tom Myl's 1968 Super Stock BO29 Hemi Barracuda

Awesome indeed.
I feel like I stepped back in time seeing the panel and cobwebbing work. The red really glows and the clear hasn't been sprayed yet. Has to be quite a boost seeing in person.
Shame theres not more of the old paint tricks like this going on in the old mopars world these days. Lost art or dated style, I miss it.
Can't wait to see more of this one.

The funny thing Travis said the same thing in the booth while he was doing the car. We cannot wait to see the car in person. They keep telling us how awesome it looks in person.

The old paint job,
This color changes every angle you look at it. This was top of the line paint job back in the day.

The new paint job,
Its going to the same thing.
You can see how much work Travis is putting into it today. He is a super star!!!

How strict is the restoration staying to as raced condition from a particular time or date?
Even if the car never had one original, Dana's rule and I can't see adding one as hurting
the build as long as you don't use a modern cast rear cover and a disc brake kit to bring it out of the past.
Make sure it fits the era you are duplicating.

Perfect.....with the extra effort in the paint job it wil be an attention getter.
 
Man the Cuda is just awesome!!! Lol can't wait to see it sitting back on Cragars!!!

Whatever rear end was in it at the time point you picked for the paint scheme.

That snapshot in time is the reference date of the resto. That's what Pete Haldiman did with the Dick Landy 64 car when he restored it 35 years ago. That car was constantly changing, evolving, revolutionizing. It was a tough decision for him at the time, but it still holds up and proven itself 35 years later.

We are trying to put it as much as we can back to 1968, but some of the parts we are missing are hard to find, so if anybody has any original parts let us know (I will make a list). Tony goes back in forth in his head what he wants to do (like the Dana). As of now Tony decided to strip down his 68 Hemi Dart some what of a clone. It has so many nice parts and it is set up so good, hard not to use some of these parts. He is going to use the Hemi and the trans out of the Dart as of now. Sell the 550hp Hemi and Trans that he had for the Barracuda with the dart.

8 3/4 was in it back then. Trying to Keep it 68 but not easy to do almost 48 years later. We talk to Tom a lot. He is a super nice guy and very with it, but trying to remember every detail of the car 48 year later in not the easiest thing (like what tach was in the car). Thank god he has a lot of pictures. A lot of people have a lot of good information but there is a lot of information out there that is wrong even Questioning that resto book thats out there. With Tom and Tony's buddy that work at Hurst back then he has a lot go good info. But still not everything remembered or conflicting stories with other people. Like Arlen Vanke he owned three of these BO29 Hemi Barracudas and whats out there he only had two wrong he had three of them.

I voted Blue also. But knew the red was an awesome color and Painted By Greg.

Tony, Tom and Travis all talked about it and came up with the Red would be best. Even when Ruddy owned it, It still had most of the color scheme. The red was raced the longest
