Gentleman (and possibly some ladies) right side exhaust is huffing some blue smoke. Doesn't really start until it gets warm. Can somebody give me some input and how to pretest to figure out if it's rings or valves before I take it apart? There's also a chance it's from the valley because I had the heads shaved years ago and didn't match the intake so it was burning some. Since then I did match the intake but I don't know if I ever follow through to see if it's seated now because that was about 40 years ago.

CHeck the PCV valve and make sure it's working and the hose to it isn't stopped up.

Tried to attach a 12-second video here but it says it's too big
Just in case you haven't tried this, maybe I can help with this for your future video posts.

Go to Youtube, create an account, paste the video to your account, then , use the share option to post videos here.

Worked great for me.

Cheers!!

Take a full compression check. Then squirt oil in #2,4,6,8. Does compression increase significantly in those cylinders? If not, then you have bad valve guides and seals.

Pull the plugs, they should tell by the deposits .
One should be different.
I was thinking the same thing earlier this morning but haven't been able to get around to it yet. Brand new plugs at startup also with maybe a half hour on them so hopefully it shows

This is the first place I would investigate, more times than not this is the issue
