Roadkill and other Motortrend shows are cancelled.

I think its a niche market. YT is a ok outlet for it and guys like Freiburger are well known and can instantly have thousands of views and subs... the thing with YT is I would suspect they can change the terms any time which means the pay can go down or disappear altogether...a guy like freiburger wont do it if he's not paid. Guys who wr3nch for a living and try to do videos ..well it takes time or should I say it adds time to the overall job unless you have a dedicated camera man filming your every move etc. I actually get where i m like "do I want to watch this guy screw around with that car or go out in the garage and screw around with my car...

I do like the actual channels with nice cars like Jay leno and any car walkaround / quick info video on any done car... I recently checked out a "Swiss Cheese" Pontiac Catalina. The Super Duty cars were neat. The whole "lets get a piece of junk running" well everyone is doing that on YT.

I'll miss Roadkill but the rest of them had become redundant with the same style of builds plus there hasn't been any new episodes for a long time. I've lost interest in all of them.

It get really hot here in Tx. and in the siummer, I am out working on a project, I get really hot and take a break and go inside to the AC and watch some RoadKill Garage, BUT I have seen them all a dozens times each!!

I admit I have only watched UTube when trying to learn how to do a job I have never done before. Most times the video drives me NUTS! bad video work, too much BS and not enough meat!!!

I did watch a Feiberger episode while ago (a little of it). He buys a 68 straight 6 Camaro he says for $16,000 (really!???) and is showing how he cleans it up and checks compression. Says he will give it away IF you register!!! Must be $ in this game!!!

I couldn't agree more with this here right here ^^^^^^^^^^^^^!

I get to the same point all too often, and then I can't help but wonder what the hell I'm accomplishing by watching someone else work.

To bastardize and paraphrase a quote from "The Shawshank Redemption": "Get busy wrenchin', or get busy dying".

I admit I like Roadworthy Rescue. Numbness entertainment! my fav has always been RoadKill Garage. Part of it for me is watching the scenery with them driving down the roads!! Except Ca. I give a chit about Ca., I have been there once. :BangHead:

Here's an original idea. Get out and do something yourself, instead of watching somebody else.

But yea Uncle Rusty, sometimes it's aweful hot out there!!!!!!
When the sweat runs down my legs and into my boots, its time to come in and cool off!! Watching MotorTrend TV mechanic stars cools me off in the AC!! :poke:

I think that the best one is Full Custom Garage, Ian builds things from what ever he has or can find. He shows how to build a car without breaking the bank account.

Anyone remember when Uncle Tony called out Dulcich and Freiburger to some junk engine build challenge ? They were like "Tony who...? nah, we don't have time for that bush leaguer..."

What board of directors allows their company get that deep in debt? Did the people of Enron take over MT?

Interesting...

If you google Discovery classic car shows, there are many many dozens of different shows. Since I have MT on DISH, I have never seen many (most) of them. Some were one season wonders filmed some years ago. 99% of what I see on DISH MotorTrend channel is just same old reruns and IF an old episode comes up I have never seen, they seem to want me to pay them more $. Don't think so.

How Discovery can be what> 42 billion $ in the RED and survive is beyond me.

It makes my head hurt!!

Like suggested I will check out UTube premium.
