Building Chinese Free Engines since 1959...
Amazing...cant change your oil but you can build a house!!!
That wouldn't bother me at all.I don't do that but I've got better things to do then complain about my neighbor working on his car in his own driveway.
The way some people vote, or don't is why it's getting worse. There used to be a race track, 1/4, dirt 1/2 mile....then they zoned for housing tracts right up to industrial zones...OK. I live in North San Diego county. 2 acres here, in what used to be the country. Installing a lift, outdoor, and got code enforcement at my gate. "Cant do that" Bull **** I said! POS neighbor called them. I do not have a junk yard or a mess. Cancelled the install, neighbors moved, and I bought another lift that I am going to install.......
It is getting terrible, but plenty of people abuse there freedoms....
The New houses are getting closer to my place....and it will only get worse before it gets better...
Exactly. What gets me is people leave California to get away from the mess then vote the same old crap back in here , and not just California but were getting a lot of Seattle people over here and same thing. The way some people vote, or don't is why it's getting worse. There used to be a skate park, Mike McGill skate park near by the track....same thing.now there is a skate park at almost every park...half full of unsavory youth and drugs because there is no memebership, no screening, no filter...and we go from private to public and now we all pay for the hang outs and lawsuits. Developers payoffs..
All the hotels now.. city counsel are money hungry. If crowding the shoreline with hotels brings more tax dollars and permit fees in the millions... they're doing it. If putting parks/skate parks reels in state/gov funding...they do it..and still bill the tax payer for upkeep...as they burden the local tax payer with no parking, pay parking, crowded streets and a massive influx of people who dont belong here and are fish out of water here.
If people keep voting for things that dont make sense or cause future problems...you can expect more city/county code enforcers to come knockin..
Daytona was totally destroyed, in that manner. Don't resemble what it was in my youthThe way some people vote, or don't is why it's getting worse. There used to be a race track, 1/4, dirt 1/2 mile....then they zoned for housing tracts right up to industrial zones...

That is exactly right and a very sad reality. People just aren’t smart enough to realize that these liberal policies throwing our kids futures and this country down the drainExactly. California passes a law banning older semis from entering state and then wonders why there is not enough trucks/drivers to unload containers from ports. I overheard some truck drivers talking that they were hiring massive amounts of truck drivers from Mexico to solve problem. Go figure! My 18 wheeler is to old to go out there and I'm glad

A very successful Freightliner dealer on my tool route had a hugely successful Glider program but sorry, those trucks weren't allowed into Cali. The remanned 60 series Detroit's were solid powerplants but they all were pre Def. They did build some CNG trucks though and a lot of custom trucks for haulers here in Iowa. What a fun shop to visit. They could put one out in a day and a half and had at least a dozen going at all times. At one time those trucks from south of the border were not affected by the environmental requirements in Ca. They even showed up in the construction industry.

Hey could be worse. Just think if you were living in Australia. You can't take a dump their with out the government making you check in first.
Might want research that Law. California cannot ban trucks hauling goods from other states. Interstate Commerce Law, state law cannot supersede federal law. What they did is restrict truck older than 5 years from operating under a California license. A lot of independent truckers with older rigs went to Nevada, Oregon, and Arizona and opened an LLC in that state. Under the Federal Interstate Commerce law they can freely operate in California. Doing business under that states laws. All they need is a PO Box.California passes a law banning older semis from entering state and then wonders why there is not enough trucks/drivers to unload containers from ports. Thank you for the enlightenment. Wish I knew about this when I had the chance to pick up a nice 1965 Freightliner, although I was cautioned that, "It'll shake all of yer' fillings out!"Might want research that Law.
