I read it came out of the 50’s….less lift and duration of a race cam.

JC Whitney had typically a 1/4 page add in their catalog on 3/4 race cams. Oh how I miss those books coming in the Mail.

I had a '63 Falcon Sprint with a 289 that allegedly came with a "3/4 race cam". Didn't know what that meant at the time (still don't, in fact), but that sucker could scream!
