Okay. 71 valiant. Obviously slant. Are these not made as a replacement? The rubber looks decent on mine. But if they are available I'd like to replace. seems like I can't find any.....which I find odd for the amount of a body slant cars made.
 
Sweet. Even though probably won't last near what the originals did. I scored an n.o.s lefty on ebay for 30.00. Pretty happy with that!
 
If the original ones are in good condition, keep them, and look for some NOS units as said. Call Old Car Parts Northwest; they have a lot of older motor mounts. Call... don't try their website.
 
Just an FYI. That link to RockAuto. The mounts shown (the last two) DEA A2303 and A2304, are not correct. Those fit the 63-66 slant six "A" body

I agree... but the ones available and made new today have a VERY poor reputation... like maybe they'll last a year or 2 at best.
 
Worst-case, I recall someone sells race-style slant mounts (flat style) that have interleaved metal so they can't separate even if the rubber fails. Might be polyurethane. I thought there were only 2 styles - the early flat ones and the round "spool" ones (~1973+?). Were there 2 styles of flat ones?

BTW, I think the correct terminology is "engine bracket" for the permanent metal parts and "motor mount" for the replaceable rubber parts, but am sure the Germans used a long word for my 1980's M-B mounts.
 
Not sure just how many different flat style "insulators" were made for the slant six, but there is at least four. Don't forget the slant was used in other body styles, beside the "A"s These are the OEM part numbers for some of them.
