Considering building a 318 that revs and likes to move it move it! I've got options for heads, roller block. Maybe a Victor 340 intake... I already have a built 904 ready to go with RMVB.

whatever it makes power to... maybe 7+.What do you consider revving, as is how many RPM?
LOL... Can't change it now, I'll forever be "318WR". My stickers are in several states now... I'm stuckWhen I saw the title, I thought you were changing your screen name.
yepSomething with compression I hope.
Some stuff I have, some needs to be bought. I won't break the bank, but this won't be a 2 dollar build.Do it! I'll be watching. Stuff you have laying around? New stuff? What's the budget?
Lets see if it happens..... I have the engine among other things. Wouldn't take a lot for me at this point. Good pistons and a little machine work. Shouldn't break the bank. I have a friend (acquaintance) that raced stock eliminator that ran 318's, shifted at 7200 rpm's. He may have a piece or two for me as well.will be following this.
It would be roller cam. I have the roller block, it only makes sense at this pointSolid cam, roller would be better. Good springs, roller rockers big cam. But wait, the 273's liked to rev and they did it with stock parts and none of those parts were real racy. Dual point may be. Cam was mild, 4 barrel was small exhaust was restrictive, cam was a solid flat tappet but they all the 273 cams were back then. Ya and they revved to 5500 and not past 7-8 like the tales that are told. LOL
my time. Depends on how much time I have in between all my projects. It would fancy me to make a pass with it in the fall. This engine will like a 8" converter.I there a time frame??...
Well.... I know you have an idea floating in your brain.my time. Depends on how much time I have in between all my projects. It would fancy me to make a pass with it in the fall. This engine will like a 8" converter.
What are your ideas about the build ? compression , cam, heads ?whatever it makes power to... maybe 7+.
you mean as it's purpose? Or the actual build? i have adjustable rockers already, so a solid roller cam is in my brain. What stinks is I also have a brand new set of Comp hyd roller lifters as well. I don't really need anything over .500 lift (or much over) to spin and make power. I need a lot of duration and at the right time. I may not know how the cam events need to work for this particular engine, but I know a guy that's done it and he does as he has run and arranged his own custom camsWell.... I know you have an idea floating in your brain.
So what's ya thinking ?
