OK so with your guys help and the help of three master techs I am planning my swap. These guys aren't Mopar but they understand well beyond what I do. Had one check out my reman dizzy and within 30 seconds found something wrong (rotor gap) and with in 10 minutes fixed that and something else. I 100% trust these guys with my truck. And I think I can do this in like 4 hours, alone. With their help probably less than two.
I have all parts just need some shrink tubes. But a question
Can I just modify the stock air box and just remove the computer from it?

Thinking about this weekend doing this.

Wait until everything is all done and you are running on the new system.
Once it is disconnected it won't matter that it is there.

Then when you remove the computer, make sure nothing entering the carb is unfiltered.

Of course. Started a build thread. I don't know how to link it but it's there. A little long winded, maybe.
