Getting close to doing my seats. Buckets and rear? Any recommendations on were to go for covers. Good quality. Customer service warranty? Thanks for any feedback

I just got my interior back from the upholstery shop and I used Legendary. My upholsterer thinks they make really good stuff, and he does a lot of rods and customs. I bought everything they had for my ‘65 Dart GT convertible, and I’m pretty pleased with it. The tonneau cover was really impressive. I need to do some rust mitigation before I install of it, but, so far, everything has fit really well and looks good. It was very nice to be able to one-stop the whole interior. Seats, side panels, carpet, even the visors. Some pictures attached. Haven’t needed anything warranty-wise so far.

Legendary Auto Upholstery.

Fantastic products. I used pretty much everything they made for my car, including floor mats.

Great phone service. Their agents were very knowledgeable and helpful in placing my order.

Web site sucked when I was using it, hopefully it has improved since then.

Here's mine after install.

I went local upholstery shop. They reconditioned the frames, new foam, material and shined up the chrome. Cost was slightly less than Legendary materials only, and no sweating or cut fingers. :)

Very happy

In my experience Legendary is the only source that stands behind their products if you have an issue.

It has been my experience to yes, get Legendary, but through a vendor. They supply their vendors first.

That's the high bolster front seats that take special foam also?

How do you like them over a stock seat?

Legendary is excellent, usually have a 6 month or more order back log. They get the fabric colors right for the mopar cars, no easy task.

We have a really good auto upholstery shop in Farmington MN that put on my friend's '72 Duster Buckets and Rear seat covers that were made by Legendary. Nice job fitting, they shaped up the original seat foam. And yes you are going to need to get some new paint on that that 40 year old seat frame structure. At times they have to replace some of the pushed down or broken seat springs where the driver sits.

So yeah it takes a lot of skill to get them right for color, fit, and proper function so when you sit on them they feel right. (not sitting in a hole)

I do my own seats as I was lucky to have a skilled craftsman take 3 months and teach me his craft in the early 1990s. Pickup bench seats are some of the easier ones to do, 2 big sections that wrap around and hook. Big areas to sew, not tight tucked curves.

There are highly skilled shops out there if you can find them, and the costs like autobody and paint can be shocking.

Good Luck on your hunt.

They definitely support better than the originals which have a flatter profile.

Also, the foam is much denser although maybe because its new it feels like they have more support.

Great worthwhile upgrade.

I just received seat covers and door panels for my 65 Barracuda…… Legendary was recommended by many on this forum….

They’re excellent.
