Shipping from Dr. Diff in USA?

Hey All
I have some suspension parts in my cart but before I purchase I wanted to ask if anyone has purchased from them? They offer several options for shipping and my previous experience with FED EX is that I was raped over "Broker Fee's" when buying in the USA. I have been told to insist on USPS to avoid such fee's.
Anyone have experience?
Advice needed and appreciated.

I've purchased from him. Cass is a good guy to deal with. It was small enough to fit in an envelope though (brake prop valve and brake to cylinder rod). Personally, I've had good luck with Fedex but avoid the brown truck at all costs. USPS is also good for me.

If you're close to the border, or not, check the location of the closest Kinek package handling.
You can have pkgs sent to them just across border in US, have a buncha pkgs or 1, pay a small fee for each pkg, then bring it back across the border duty free if your outta the country 72 hrs.
$800 each, my wife and I bring up $1600 duty free.
You do your own brokerage right at the border if you're over.
Customs don't generally do paperwork on under a $100, so free.
And cuz this all is for old cars - no duty. - just pay sales tax, that's it.
The wife and I usually make a 3 day weekend at a US resort, the money we save pays the resort, win, win. and the wife loves it, so another win !

Yall use the USPS all you want. I be damned if I will if given a choice.
 
I would recommend emailing Cass or calling him. I’m sure he’d be able to explain your options and perhaps go beyond whatever the website is programmed to offer automatically.
 
Yes for shipping to Canada use USPS if possible. FedEx and UPS will kill you with rates and fees
Are your postal workers still on strike?
 
Recent changes from US vendors (summit and jegs) that they ship via courier, BUT shipping tax and broker fees are paid directly to retailer. So couriers get nothing when parts are delivered. Couriers MAY be fine, but make sure with Dr Diff that you pay everything up front to them to avoid any extras.

Dr Diff is in Montana, depending where the op is, there are a few options, I like getting parts shipped to the border and picking them up myself to save the ridiculous brokerage fees, but it's only an hour from my house.
 
Dr Diff is great to deal with. To me, shipping method depends alot on the value of the part, if its not too pricey, and you wont be out much if it goes missing, USPS/Canada Post is a low cost option, but if the parts are $$, I always go courier, FedEx preferred cause UPS WILL rape you with brokerage fees. I have no problems with UPS in Canada though, its just crossing the border where they nail you.
