Should I be annoyed?

Member is looking for some parts for his car. I have what he needs and mail them to him, no charge for parts or shipping (small stuff). After 2 weeks never hear anything so pm him asking did he even recieve the parts? Responds back saying yes he got them. This is the second time this has happenned within a year. Should I be annoyed?
 
I would think that at least a thank you was called for. If a member was nice enough to do that for me I would want to pay the shipping and I would thank them on the forum so others would know .
 
Money wasn't ever the issue. parts fit in an envelope so shipping was less than $3. Just find it annoying that never get a response that parts were recieved. It's not like we can't tell how often you're on this site and can't respond.
 
It takes less than a minute to say thankyou and will last a lifetime.
 
That would annoy me, you take the time to answer his post and help him/her and send parts at no cost or time spent by the member....

even though this member seems fit to not take the time to type these simple words ----- Thank you so very much for the time you took to help me get these parts in my hands with out leaving the house and at no cost :colors:

Yes I would feel the same way, the member did not do his part..
 
Yes, I would be annoyed. Respect goes a long way whether if be a pm or a good guy posting. Neither one bothered to leave feedback either..... or hit the thanks button.
 
One can only control the actions and attitudes of oneself and stand with pride and honor as the result of such. Be annoyed? No. Be disappointed? Yes. Be surprised? Never!
 
Yeah he should have at least thanked you like everyone said. I have always posted a great member thread or a thank you when I receive something.
 
i have sent a few things in the last couple months and i still have no idea if they ever got them. i guess no news is good news.
 
A long time ago I decided not to expect any acknowledgment for doing a kind act, so I could just enjoy doing something nice without having it spoiled by getting annoyed.

In today's world this is the best way to think. It seems as time moves on the world is just getting more rude. How many folks still hold a door open for someone? Get the car door for the wife? Or even tell the waiter Thank You when they refill your coffee?

Well you got my thanks might not be the same but I'm sure the majority of us are very thankful we have members like you here!
 
Some people have a hard time saying thank you, and some feel it was your duty to help them out.
I've run across both, and both suck in my oppinion.

That's messed up.

Have you noticed the one's you do hold the door open for that only about have of them even say thank you?
When that happens I say it for them. :) Just to get the point accross.

One day I noticed a guy coming up to the door at the same time I was and I stopped and held the door for him.
Dick stops in the open doorway and start telling someone with him to "come on, let's go" and stood there waiting for the other person and never even aknowledged my presence.
Of course I just let go of the door and it hit him in the back.
He sure did notice I wasn't holding it any more though.
