I've got it on 4 tires that hold air! The floor needs a "little" work. However I can start it reaching through the window even after a week! It's running in the pictures, almost no smoke! Tags were 22 years out of date when I bought it

I like the style also! I plan on doing what I can to get the best mpg I can with it. Eventually, a833OD, HEI, fuel injection, gear ratio, tire size. For now just can't get the throwout bearing to move, going to pull cover off and see if I can do anything with it. any suggestions? I cant afford a new one if I can get this one to work. I also don't have a place to pull the engine. Step on pedal, bearing doesn't move,Linkage is free. No sounds from it when engine is running.

Word...started life as a 273/4, got a rod knock so in went a 318. 318 oil pump failed so in went a +.040 340, sold that and got a std 340. Sold that and was given a 451 to babysit for 7 years. It had to go back to the owner so he gave me a 318. Bought a cheap drop in 360 then found some cheap stroker pistons so I started to build a 403. In the meantime, the 318 got traded for a 225. Bought a pair of tiny T25 turbos on a whim and sold them for a CT26 Celica 3.0 turbo. Got the itch to build a six so thats where I am now. I should put zippers on my K member.......Wagon motor? Any of them! But the Early A is probably the worst V8 platform to stuff motors in.

I picked it up in Cloudcroft NM.drove it to St Louis. Someone put "s" emblems on it, but its just a 4spd commando car. When i get on it with my little boys in the car they yell " thats the way you race the barracuda dad". Cuda fans in the making!

She looks rough, but she's rust free, and runs like a charm.

im a little confused,,,when you step on the pedal,,does the fork move??? and not the throw out bearing or what ?

I bought this 65 Cuda Commando from a guy in the mountains of New Mexico. Its a 4spd with a few nice options. Its painted a Ford color! When the owner got it back from the paint shop it was the wrong color, since the guy did such a nice job, he let it slide. Doing a few upgrades and wanted to install spitfire headers, but since Harold dosent make em anymore, ill have to save up for a set of Dougs headers.

Curious on how you mounted that tank?

When I bought the cuda it didn't have the front pumper mounted. I knew I wanted the bumper on eventually and built aluminum brackets where the front plate goes to mount the "gasser" tank. Didn't know whether I'd like it or not......but I think it goes with the look of the car. I had to drill two holes in the top part of the bumper to mount turn-buckles for the straps, but other than that I used the existing liscense plate holes. thanks.........
