Show me your under hood throttle/kickdown setups

Im running a 360 magnum with the Chinagap copy of the eddy intake and an eddy 1605 carburetor, and i currently use one of those modern type brackets with return spring set up for kickdown and throttle cable.

I'd like to get back to something a little more factory if possible. First problem i ran into in the build was that with my factory pedal i couldn't get enough pull needed to get to full throttle, so i had to install an aftermarket pedal and cable that i am not at all fond of.

Wondering if i was just missing something or if theres a good way to get a more factory type setup using the original pedal.

For the kickdown i use the Lokar cable setup.

5.9 magnum, chinagap intake ... using the factory throttle brackets and kickdown. I got the video set at a time where it shows this.
 
My mechanic/engine builder went with Lokar throttle & "kickdown" cables on the Jaundiced GT.

To get full throttle the stud has to be in the correct hole on the throttle arm of the carb (on holley and edelbrock it must be drilled out, or you can use a special mopar bracket)

The rest is all the same as a factory setup with the tabs of the throttle bracket bent 90 degrees to line up with the bolt holes on the intake.

Yes, the OP's problem wasn't the pedal, it was where on the carb the linkage was hooked up. I see this all the time. If you think about it, you'll see that wherever you mount the cable on the carb, its travel describes an arc. How long that arc is depends on where on the carb the linkage is mounted. Easiest way to get the correct location is to use the mopar bracket for either a Holley carb or an Edelbrock carb. It's cheap, and just bolts to the Holley or Edelbrock linkage.

PS: you also need the correct cable bracket at the rear of the intake manifold. Two barrel and four barrel brackets are different.

Double PS: You can modify a two barrel bracket to work if you have access to a welder. Basically, you need to move the cable bracket forward an inch or two, and lengthen the factory kickdown rod an inch or two.

Top pic is my 67 Barracuda with 360, bottom is a modified two barrel bracket and kickdown rod on the big block in my 64 Polara.

No trans kick down lever as the avatar has a RMVB in the trans. Uses a Summit throttle cable setup with a stock throttle cable and pedal. The Summit (or other brand name parts like this) are nice as it is completely adjustable to get the carb to fully open. And it also has the double throttle return springs.

here are the factory set ups for small block. orange is 4bbl blue is 2bbl. Lower rod and lever are different and the upper rod and cable bracket are different. The one piece rod set up will not work on an A-body or 70 on back B-body due to the firewall being to close. That one piece set up is usually found on 71 up B-body , E-body, C-body,or truck.

Thanks!!! Looks like Mancinis has everything i need to make it work with my stock pedal and the Lokar kickdown.
