Hi, yeah i started with a "simple remove vinyl top find out what the bubbling is going on underneath" then i welded up the side lamps because i never liked them. Then figured paint was thin in spots..... etc. you know how it snowballs.
Slant will be boosted with a holset once i have collected all the parts.
Got a carb, intake and turbo so far.

Id like to do a draw through turbo on mine eventually. Engine is in pretty good shape but id like to refresh the whole thing before i do that. 6 burns a bit of oil.

Im not a body guy though. So ill have to pay someone one day to fix the daily driver dents etc.

      Wow nice car.
Lol i am not a body man either! The photos are kind, in person you can see the flaws. I give myself A for effort, C for result, but not bad overall for first paint job. Looks wayyyy better then what i started with.
You know 40 plus years on the street ,
Wheelwells, dings, dents... primer coming thru

1975 Scamp slant 6, daily driver 25,000 miles per year. My only means of transportation other than my 1971 Duster and 1977 D100. It can be a challenge to rely on a 42 year old car to get you to work everyday, but it is better than a car payment.

Here's my '64 dart. Just got it back on the road after doing a rebuild on the engine and tranny. Shaved about .050 off the head for a little more compression. Wow what a difference! Give it some gas and the car takes off! Everything is stock single barrel carb, 3 speed pushbutton. I am very happy with it. Lots of work to do still but mashing that pedal sure makes me smile

I drove my 64 Valiant to the Junction Mopar Show in Chardon. Ohio last Sunday. About 380 cars, 22 classes, but I entered in the Survivor class, maybe 20 cars. Ended up getting 2nd place by popular voting which was a complete surprise. First place was a 70 Challenger that I don't remember seeing. I dont know why I didn't take any pics at the show but 20161029_162500.jpg previously posted a few pics in post #801.

First time started in over 25 years, had to cut off the exhaust because the muffler was plugged with rust and dust!

Nothing yet to the engine bay. All original except for the decal which is incorrect. I have the Holley 1 barrel.

No, the "SUPER 225" sticker on the air cleaner is correct for many years. My 64 has it. I guess Chrysler decided that the big 225 was super because it was bigger than the 170. :)

You're confusing it with the 70's 2 barrel "SUPER SIX".

image.png image.png Kosmic is correct on the air cleaner decal! On the slant-6 engine Plymouth used the "Super 225" and Dodge used the "Charger 225" decal on theirs. If your car started out a SL6 originally and has been converted to a V8, than even if you show your car to people, they'll see a V8, not a six. You'll have to mention ,"oh by the way my car started life as a 6" sometimes it's hard to associate a visual image when you can't see it. So many 6 cylinder cars have been converted to V8's,with this they tend to lose their identity. And once the V8 is in it, it would be hard for an owner to go back to a six. My '70 Challenger, 2dr has been a SL6 car all of its life, and it will stay that way as long as I own it. Thanks, Al

Body is nice and solid, and straight. It has single piston disc brakes on front, and a newer type master cylinder. Inside is clean, and not ripped. Buckets look almost new.
Has a newer 225 slant in it, I can tell by the sensors on it. Hers a couple of pics. It arrived to a Wisconsin downpoor
Have to fix some wireing in the engine bay before I go anywhere in it, Its kind of ratty. 20170629_164409.jpg 20170629_185731.jpg 20170629_185755.jpg barracudadave67
