Show your Slant 6 engines!

Another work in progress. Should have had the pistons in but got the wrong rod bearings. DOH!
IMG_1356_zpsahqaejzu.jpg

Not much to look at now, but I hope to have it ready for the slant six races at Mason-Dixon in May.

What are the specs??? :glasses7:

Been decked and shaved to get 10.6 compression, Clifford 4bbl intake and headers. Not certain which cam I'll stick with, but I have an Oregon 1313 grind (.474/.494 lift) for now. Big valve, ported head. Going in a 3000 lb bracket racer.

That sounds interesting! Please be sure to keep us updated on your progress!

It will get a windage tray

And a Flag Red powdercoated oil pan

And a Flag Red powdercoated alternator bracket and a gloss black shield to protect the oil filter

And a Flag Red powdercoated thermostat housing drilled and tapped for a Dakota Digital temperature sender (way too big to fit in the head!)

An adapter to run both an idiot light and the Dakota Digital oil pressure gauge

A Flag Red timing chain cover. All powdercoating done by our own Leanna!

And it will all be topped by by the Offy valve cover, also done by Leanna

This is my cheap Chinese BBD conversion, with factory manifolds and the Bouchillon cable kickdown. The original bracket was pretty flexible, but the aluminum bar brace fixed that.

Nice solution!

Just the stock 225 in my '69 Valiant, living a quiet, tranquil existence of easy accelerations and other things associated with A-bodies with their original 7.25" rear ends:

Incidentally, someone please kick me for getting the wrong shade of VHT for the exhaust manifold. Makes it looks like an aluminum intake. Blech.

Here's the motor in my son's '69 Dart. Finally getting some miles put on the car, and it's running real nice.

The EFI wiring could use some attention to routing more cleanly; it looks a bit spaghetti-ed under the hood once you hook everything up.

Nice! Not very often do you see those hurricane intakes take use of the bungs, and when you do, its nitrous instead of EFI. Any specs on it?

Here's the one in my race car, i don't know specifics but just under 300hp, 12 to 1 comp, roller cam, custom rods/pistons and roller rockers. Runs triple 45mm webers.
