Sick 66 trip updates.

Great trip Joe!
I love road trips and the goal of my 68 cuda rebuild is to do a leisurely tour of the U.S. including the mother road. I'm thinking 4-6 wks.
First thing I ever bought off ebay from San Jose and drove it 2800 miles to Ohio. Old cars beat you up and I would stop every 200 miles. I think the key to mileage is OD and I should consider a more comfortable seat.
Sorry I don't know much about Jamie's Dart. Can you summarize the drivetrain and suspension a little here?

the engine is a real mild 360. build thread here.. very mild 360 build.

suspension is covered here: build thread for jamies dart..:)

basically stock 360 with mild MP cam, performer rpm intake, low gearset 904 with 9.5" converter and 8 3/4 rear with 3.23 gear..

suspension is pretty basic but not cheap..lol eaton leafs i got from @BergmanAutoCraft , front end had 1.08 torsion bars from @BergmanAutoCraft , a hellwig front sway bar, adjustable upper arms from RMS, adjustable strut rods from RMS, bilstein shocks all the way around, a borgenson steering box kit from @BergmanAutoCraft. i have factory style large bolt 11 3/4" disc brakes. rear drums are 11X2" with large bolt axles from dr diff.

we stopped every 150 miles for gas.. could have gone further but didn't want to push it. plus jamie had to pee by then anyway..lol

the bence seat needs some foam work. i never had an issue before btu a 30 hour drive home kicked my ***.

i'd like OD but gear vendors is expensive and i refuse to cut any metal onthe car to put a a500 in it so i'm thinking a 2.76 gear will work for me...

Glad everyone made it out of their befor Mother Nature dropped a bucket load of rain.
