Slacker's Guide to Fixing Up the 68 Notch

-
I think I finally figured out why my own progress was sucked into a black hole. I've been waiting to see your 'how to' updates. - Good thing I hadn't been holding my breath but I tried delaying taking a bathroom break while waiting. Now everybody says I'm full of ****.

Yes, you had inadvertently fallen into my Slackers ultimate black hole! It is a time warp that not many have returned from! Hmmm…maybe I better read my posts to see where I left off on the Cuda.

BOB!! There was a rumor going around that they figured out what happened to Jimmy Hoffa so I thought there still might be a chance you'd show up too. (hopefully not buried 6 ft. underground in a 55 gallon drum)

I should berate you for thinking about ditching the Barracuda but hopefully this Polaris you refer to will be a good replacement. My son just sold his '70 Roadrunner so I realize that the love affairs we have with our vehicles sometimes wanes with time. You'll have to post more pics of the new mistress. -

OK, when you mentioned the Polaris RS1 I wasn't sure what it was. I figured it was sort of like my old '64 Polara. So....... I Googled it.

WTF! (excuse my abbreviated French) I think you've gone off the deep end! It's almost like you're trading in the 'Cuda for a toaster oven!

I do understand that these off-road gizmos are a lot of fun. Heck, I've owned 4 Honda Odysseys (2FL-250s and 2 FL-350s).

BUT... it seems to me that the Polaris would enhance your garage if it was sitting beside the Barracuda instead of looking all lonely by itself.

Last year I managed to build a pair of 2-seater go-karts for Teresa's grandkids. They're big enough to fit adults but still relatively compact. - Just 212cc motors that'll do around 30 mph but still fun around the yard. Our old Honda FL-350s would do 65 down the road and were more like a mini dune buggy. We got em upside down a few times while ditch hopping and racing.

110 HP?? Isn't that like buying a Ford?

Now that the price of a gallon of gas is edging closer to $1,000,000 I can understand why a lot of our beloved Mopars will be experiencing fewer road trips. BUT abandoning your pride & joy for frivolous things like food (or off-roading) just seems wrong!

I guess I could see selling:

a kidney - OK,
my wife and kids - maybe,
BUT MY MOPAR???
I think it's time for an intervention.
