probably a zilion times asked. But what is the recommended Slick for a stick shift car, 3660 lbs, 350HP, 4,56:1, 72 DART with stock wheel openings. So required dimension is 28-09-15.

M/T 3054ST are looking good to me. But super expensive here... USD 750....
Hoosier doesn't offer Slicks ( Bias-ply ) with stiff side walls? they are cheaper here. just USD 600 a pair

Anyway, this shoudn't be a Money question. Just curious what you stick shifters are runnin' ....

you're limited on size, so, goodyear #2790, D 5 would fit. hoosier has 28" tire, D06 . we use MT 3056st, M5 compound. made for stick cars. good luck.

how are your experiences with those MT's? Unfortunatly Hoosier has no 28" tire with a good width.
A 10 Inch width is rubbing in the wheelhousing and on the leaf springs. ( i tried a 26x10-15 Hoosier ), a M/T with same Dimension fits perfectly. ( thats because of the side wall construction)
But i want to go 28" Diameter. Need to go... :)

How in the world did you get a 72 Dart up to 3660?
My 1970 340-4speed, ps, pb, NO a/c; scaled 3200 ,at the track, me not in it, with a half tank of gas....back in 71,lol
That's quite a difference.

OMG! Pleaaaassssseeee.
REALLY????

Who tells the tires whether it's an automatic or manual!???
The shock value given to them.

Huh? Shock value?

One tire likes auto’s, the other likes slicks. It’s the way you hit the tire via the transmission.

Amp? Amplifiers? Or electricity? Electricity to the amplifier?
LMAO

Is that measured in amps or "oh my's!' ?
bring the proper slicks according to the humidity. That's why they bring the weather stations and 6 pairs.... :)

full Interieur, full gas tank, full windshild washer tank, me inside (75kg ) made 1.66 tons on the scale. that are converted 3660 lbs, right?

Long-tons, and Metric tonnes, yes; 1.66 x 2200=3652
Imperial tons, its 1.66 x 2000=3320

3320 sounds about right,
my '70 was 3330 with me in it and 7 USg less gas(about 42pounds), and I was 59kg(130pounds)

A bodies have been known to be heavy sometimes. Don’t be surprised if his weighs in that much AJ.

if you get the fold down back seat, shock bumpers, power steering, and especially A/C, you can be heavier than some B-bodies for sure

the difference , is sidewall, construction, and tread compound. softer is for automatic, harder is for stick cars, put soft on a stick car, and you'll know, it spins on the hit, doesn't recover. I;ve been down this road before,!!!

I couldnt believe how much the fold down seat in my fastback weighed! And the abody center console is no lightweight either.
I will be curious to see how much my 69 4sp Swinger scales out at. Bench seat, munual everything. Aluminum bellhousing and intake will shed some... But 8.75 brace , rear sway bar and frame connectors will offset that.

64pounds without the frame brackets in my 68 Barracuda. I left it in the rafters, along with the tank of a console. I don't need no stinking fold-down rear seat. And the car now has a manual trans.

AJ I am going to scare you with this one. Last time I weight my Dart at the track it was 3590 with me in it(scale rounded off at 5 pounds), I weigh 195. 1966 Dart 2dr post full GT interior, 5 point roll bar, Caltrac rear suspension, Dana 60, aluminum headed 416, aluminum flywheel with soft-loc clutch, Quick time bell, Jerico 4 spd, and Weld wheels all around

1972 340 duster, stocker, dana 60, Lakewood, full interior, weld wheels, iron heads and intake, jerico trans, soft loc clutch, total wgt, 3345 with driver, driver 195#. 6 point roll bar

Buschi340 I am running Hoosier 9x26x15 slicks on my dart. I have 60' in the 1.48 to 1.49 on a excellent track prep. but usually goes between 1.50 and 1.54 on a good surface. I tried a set of 9x28x15 M/T but 60' fell off. They were not the stiff sidewall for a stick car and that is probably why.

we don't have permanent tracks here. Just lousy preped small air ports. I tryed 26x10 hoosies. Better than readials from M/T in 60ft but with less air feels quite unsafe sometimes in the traps. And those are used down now so i need something new anyway.
