I will take those cragers off your hands for free but I will pay the shipping if that helps you out. Also you may try napa, I know a local old parts store that may have them he carries invertory for 60 year old cars, they are in lewistown pa 717-248-5483 Stoychefs parts I bet 10 dollar they have them.
Explain the trouble in the future ? Do you recommend a 2 inch show that fits ?
I just called and they do not have them. He checked both from 65 to 69 and 70 to 72. no go. 10 dollars
Dave, I know where you can score a new set of the correct rear drums but they are pricey. Send me a pm if you are interested and I will let you know where they are.
I am all set. I just wanted the 10 bucks
I installed the 10 X 2 1/2 on my vehicle and they work FINE ... the shoe contact point is in the center of the drum ... I could see if contact point was bias to one side may cause an issue .. I cannot see a problem happening ...
10X 2 1/2 sbp you can purchase .. on ebay ... i did and they work ...

Wrong width drums will eventually cause a tapered condition.

I would think Bendix, Wagner as well as EIS are experts in this field.
I would guess they aren't talking about a drum that is any where near 3/4 of an inch too wide.
NOT promoting anybodies parts .... If you look at any drum to shoe contact point ... there is NOT one shoe that contacts drum surface from end to end ...
AND basically OLDCARCOLLECTOR .. any members that makes a recommendation on this site is liable ??? ex; recommending a later model year master cylinder on earlier model year vehicle with an adapter plate installed between bulk head and master ???
IF that is the case .... you might aswell shutdown this site ? were all getting sued ...
EBAY is promoting the seller aswell as the part .. DO THEY LOOK WORRIED ??? ... i am telling you what worked for me .... I do not have him in a headlock forcing him to buy the drums ... What part of this do you not understand .. Don't you have somebody to scam car salesman
I have several sets taken off in the 70's like new I have been selling. Looks like the sale is over. I didn't know the liability or the rarity. There are still 27 drums here. Now they will make nice post bases for the plastic chains around the car at shows.
Who ever was coming for drums don't bother they are not for sale anymore. Nor is any other brake parts.
Stinks they list something as compatible that won't work...Thanks for all the info...I'm going to let the store manager know...maybe someone can convince whoever is making these drums to make some that'll fit our our 5x4 sbp...
