Anyone running just the solid mounts on both sides
I run solid on the drivers side only, that way the passenger side has some cushion. No vibrations in my cars.
i don't care about vibration. Its a 12.5 to 1 stroker with bullets on it....lol Just checking to make sure no issues other than dealing with vibration
no issues. run a flexible trans mount, no solid there
^^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^ I use solid on both sides on the street.
Thanks for the advice guys!
SHOULDN`T BE ANY DIFF. FROM RUNNING A MOTOR PLATE , W/ EXCEPTION OF FORE AND AFT MOVEMENT -------jmo Altho I think I `ve read of the ears breaking off of the block-
I switched to solid mounts after breaking 2 sets of stock mounts and the drivers side of the poly-loc mounts. No racing yet but the vibration on the street isn't much more than the poly-loc mounts
I run solid mounts on my engine, with a poly transmission mount....I've been running it like this since the early 2000's. The only down side is you will have a few bolts try to wiggle loose every now and then. I just make it part of my yearly racing season prep to check header bolts, starter bolts (those are the only ones on my car that vibrate loose).
what you are doing is exactly the setup i plan to have. Will keep an eye on stuff trying to loosen up
