That's terrible, bless her heart. Put me down for a donation.
When she reads this thread, she will see that everything in life doesn't just go away.
i say if there is more $ raised than the new bike costs, then the rest should go for something else she might need or want.....or maybe a new bike helmet or a bike lock? A new toy? Pretty sad when somebody steals a little girls bike, this upsets me....can't imagine how she must feel. I hope we are able to help!
Guy's I really do appreciate the gesture and the offer.
I told my grand daughter what you folks were willing to do for her and she grinned a big ol' grin.
I can more than afford to replace the bike, and I will. I'm still holding out hope that one of the neighborhood kids "borrowed" the bike. But honestly, I got a feeling it isn't coming back.
At the risk of sounding like a hard luck story, my grand daughter came to me thru the courts. As much as I hate to admit it, my daughter has a ****** problem and is in prison right now. Everything this child owned or has been given has been sold or pawned to feed a habit. She is starting to have a normal childhood for a change and a reminder of her old life pops up.
If you're at any of the shows I haunt this year, she'll be with me. She's become my shadow and has taken ownership of my Dart much to my sons dismay.
Here's a picture of her in Tony Fields Barracuda this past February in Indy.
Again, you guys are great and I really do thank you for the offer. I was just ranting over a rotten thing to do to a kid.
BTW, a chain and a lock will also be bought with the next bike.
I can more than afford to replace the bike, and I will.
That's right.Personally doing this for her would mean a lot to me and I am sure it is that way with the other members that have posted too.
