Some Math for You.

ahh, yes, the old problem of the Holiday season. Parting out the 85? New yorker, need any pieces?
Wow, talk about a thread going to "undefined"!

Nah, got pieces pretty much covered for the Dip, except for the left taillight and we already talked about that...

yeah, what was this thread again? Something to do with math...:toothy10:

extra credit and a No-Prize if anyone can figure out the answer to my first question.

use .333 as an abbreviation for .333333333333333333333333 (I tried to go a full screen of threes, but the screen would be huge...)

the idea, though, it that .333 to infinity plus .333 to infinity plus .333 to infinity equals .999 to infinity never yielding 1. But 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 does.

gotta go with CB here, unless you are looking at significant figures, but you didn't say that.

.999 is .001 away from 1.

Did you know that Ford built three completely different 351 motors, awhile back? 351-Cleveland, 351, Windsor, and 351 Montreal? (or, "Modified???)

The Cleveland motor had canted valves, the 351 Windsor had "true wedge" heads, and the 351-M was a tall-block, destroked 400, with canted valves.

Ma Mopar built 2 different 426's; a wedge ("street" engine,) and the mighty HEMI...

And 2 different 383's; a short stroke, and a long-stroke version.

Too bad bpwordman scrapped a '60 Chrysler with the RB 383 in it. Would have made for an interesting build...

I did not know that, interesting....
