Stop in for a cup of coffee

Early to bed early to rise, supposed to make me wise but it's not working!
I agree been early for me the last few days. To much water late at night gets me up. Going to cut it off after dinner, maybe that'd help.

Is that the car you got last summer?? I thought if I remember right that car the guy threw in a 440 to go with it??
I am stuck because when he delivered the car he forgot the k frame. So right now I can't really do anything unless I drop a six in now that I found the mounts or wait for him to come back this way.

He is supposed to come back and deliver another car and parts but who knows when. I am not worried about it but the belvedere will probably sit till then.

3 beers between working on the property picking up wind blown branches and watching football, that's enough to send me to bed early these days!

A bodies work for me for the size factor. C bodies work because they are cheap and something different. B bodies just because they are cool.

E bodies never again, I had a 70 cuda investment car and never again. I could barely see over the dash. The most uncomfortable car ever. And I didn't like that every time I took it out, it got too much attention. I would go into a store and come out and a bunch of dudes would be standing around it.
Well your one better than me. I'd of never left it in the store parking lot. We go to a car show even if its a multi day show one of us is always with the car. Always thinking of that person climbing into the car for the closer look. I could tell some stories.

Just curious where did you find those mounts. I looked for a bit for them, tough to find.

Someone here on fabo had a want ad for a running slant.

So another member replied saying he had one out of a 67 coronet, so I PMed him to see if he would sell the mounts only because they wouldn't work for the A body guy asking for a slant anyways.

He agreed and I got them in their greasy glory lol

When you have time throw a wanted ad up on the main page. I've done it a couple times and got what I was looking for within a day or two.

I take all my mopars shopping and everywhere.
I don't have a newer car so my old mopars are my only transportation.

I feel that they were built to drive and I would be wasting time by not driving them.
Also, to prove a point, my family said an old car couldn't be reliable and couldn't be daily driven. They offered to buy me a new car, if I agreed to sell or scrap the old ones.
Not only no, but ......... No.

So I am going to drive them till i can't drive anymore.

My two the Barracuda and 55 Chevy get driven weekly...not so much during the winter though.

If they have nice paint and really nice then it makes sense.

I have driven them with mismatched fenders before and looking like Joe dirt cars so I can laugh when people look at me like "that girl is so poor to have an old junker" lol.

My current dart is one color but it's faded. No rust spots but the interior is not all that great but at least its decent and doesn't have any weird smells.

So Rainy the family offered a new car if you scraped the old ones. Are they worried about your MOPAR obsession??
Also do you ever go to the car shows??

They just think it's more "lady like" to drive a newer car and quit being so barbaric with the old barn finds. Plus my job requires I am dressed up formals, so they think I should be in a newer car for that reason.

They are also worried about reliability because I have done many a road side repairs on the spot even when dressed up because I refused to leave the car on the side of the road.

Usually it's dumb stuff, like a carb flood or filter
Clog or something electrical that a jumper wire can fix.

Dog went to sleep right in front of the stove last nigh, don't think she moved except to breath!

Hey it is what it is. You know how to fix it. As a parent I can see their concern now with an hour and a half one way commute. That's a stretch for sure.

Not so much anymore.

Around here the same ol cars are always there and the most popular people always win everything and it's hard to get in the clique, (why would anyone want to) but it's pretty much a gang and I have been shown that my not absolutely perfect cars are not really welcome so I don't do shows anymore

To bad they act that way, but I know what you mean. We travel out a ways just to get away from the same old cars. We enjoying sharing the cars and talking to people about them

Crs shows here are like a box of chocolates, from runners to original owner Chargers show up that you had no idea were in a barn the next block over. Every one enjoys them all it seems and no real clichés by make etc. Small town.

Don't blame you at all, I've heard it can be that way. I hope to take my Duster to a car show once I get it on the road, won't be perfect so I suppose I'll find out real quick.
