I don't know where in Manitoba you live but the snow doesn't look like it's moving very fast.Boy, was i mistaken. We have a LOT of snow!
Mild out so plowing is going to be a challenge.
No work booked, so i have that going for me.

Score! They use those at the winery on the deck for those cool fall evenings.I was coming home from a breakfast gathering of friends last Wensday and seen this on the side of the road by there trash cans, I ain't to proud, I looked it over, put it in my truck and drove home, did some research and found out the tilt switch can go bad, by past it and this thing works great, never used one before, a friend borrowed it for the bears game last night, he wants to buy it from me this morning, $160 new, but I told him my wife wants it for the deck so ...

Nice score, Mike. You get the feeling there are greater forces at work when you just happen to see something that can be useful to you, there for the taking.I was coming home from a breakfast gathering of friends last Wensday and seen this on the side of the road by there trash cans, I ain't to proud, I looked it over, put it in my truck and drove home, did some research and found out the tilt switch can go bad, by past it and this thing works great, never used one before, a friend borrowed it for the bears game last night, he wants to buy it from me this morning, $160 new, but I told him my wife wants it for the deck so ...

it is, its the last piece of the drivetrain i need for the dart. Been hunting for one for 5 years now. havent been able to find one when i've had the money, then when i do find them, they were way overpriced or i didn't have the money in the budget saved.Well I hope they're good parts. I drove to Oregon once for a hood for my sons Firebird, that's 5 hours or so.
I want snow! but its 56 degreesI don't know where in Manitoba you live but the snow doesn't look like it's moving very fast. View attachment 1715272313
I tend to agree, I couldn't believe the heat these things put off, my older son Mike already asked to use it one day this week, he is cooking up 5 Boston bits for his basketball team. It is getting used, I have yet to use it more then 5 minutesNice score, Mike. Mine was like that until a few years ago. Wanted to go out at midnight and watch. In the winter the same if not more so. Watch what? Anything that might come along. If it was below 20-25 F I didn't like leaving her out while I was sleeping but other than that didn't worry about her.Morning mopar maniacs!
Snow didnt seem to amount to much. I think it all drifted.
Schools closed.
Dog wanted out at midnight, didnt bark to come in all night.
Maybe too warm in the house?
Dunno.
That's really awsome.I do the same, zero hopes of winning anything as it is clearly a track car, I enter it just to show folks there's is a whole other side to the hobby. If a kid shows interest I always let him sit in the car strap in the harness and pose for a photo. I mean really, what can they tear up? Toggle switch dash and a racing seat! And you never know that kid might just develop a passion for our hobby.
That too is really awsome. That exact statement was given to my son at Road America for the classics races a bunch of years ago. He got to sit in the Nicky Chevrolet Can Am car. The guy also asked if he wanted to ride in it through the paddock out to the starting line the next day. Unfortunately we couldn't attend that day. He said to us "He is our hobby's future...maybe this will spark interest in the hobby..."
You should post some pics of the engine pulling for @Rainy Day Auto Might have some tips.Ugh I must be crazy, making a 5 hour round trip for car parts this afternoon
Not your truck? Roadtrip!!!!!It’s not the farthest I’ve gone for parts just riding in a truck will be fun that far today lol
Hey I drove NJ to Chambersberg for rusty barracuda. Those housemates were good for that. Not quite as crazy as when I bought the current barracuda - 10 hours back from Detroit in a car that wouldnt get out of its own way. Got some quality time with dad, so it wasnt a bad trip at all.Well I hope they're good parts. I drove to Oregon once for a hood for my sons Firebird, that's 5 hours or so.
Put a new switch in it and rent it. You get it, you fix it, they use it. Perfect. Thanks Dad!I tend to agree, I couldn't believe the heat these things put off, my older son Mike already asked to use it one day this week, he is cooking up 5 Boston bits for his basketball team. oh, so yesterday when I was going thru cleaning out the polara. I traced the wires from these GIANT capacitors and amp, guy had it wired to the 5A hot side of the radio fuse, but BEFORE the fuse.Put a new switch in it and rent it. (New switch to CYA)
I see some of that, but they are usually a 'subset' and not a big deal except for some of the really small shows.Around here the same ol cars are always there and the most popular people always win everything and it's hard to get in the clique, (why would anyone want to) but it's pretty much a gang and I have been shown that my not absolutely perfect cars are not really welcome so I don't do shows anymore
Shows around here are a combo. A lot of 'regulars', but just never know what random cars will show up.Crs shows here are like a box of chocolates, from runners to original owner Chargers show up that you had no idea were in a barn the next block over. Every one enjoys them all it seems and no real clichés by make etc. Small town.
Do it. I did my first show before paint. LOLDon't blame you at all, I've heard it can be that way. I hope to take my Duster to a car show once I get it on the road, won't be perfect so I suppose I'll find out real quick.
I like Fast and FuriousPeople need to stop watching fast and furious movies and get real IMO
The last car show I went to was at the local VFW r American legion, don't remember which. so I participated as a show of support. There were only right at 60-70 cars and they awarded just over twenty people's choice awards. I took the cuda. To Rainey point clearly It is not a perfect car. I.E. roll bar, fire suppression, fiberglass nose, and the steering wheel tossed on the dash. But it is a Cuda and quite striking. Plus only one other old Mopar on the lot. Come awards time you guessed it. I think right at 1/2 a dozen new mustangs and camaros took the awards. Bone stock I am talking less than two years old. And a shiny bone stock corvette got the big iron. A couple of chevelles etc. Cuda got nothing. I figured at twenty people's choice awards I might sneak out with something given only 60 cars there! Nope!
I've felt welcome at all the shows I have done, but I don't know if I will ever win anything. Would be cool, but not why I show the Duster. Get's more attention for the slant 6 than anything else. Most people I meet at shows are good folks just out for fun. Sure there are some trophy hounds, but that's their hang up. I don't like seeing a new car win anything. See a few that you can tell are, "look what my money bought", I completely ignore them and there cars.I know the feeling. My rat rod is loved by everyone except those with cars. I am not very welcome at most shows. There are a few that don't seem to have an issue, but that isn't why I was entering them anyway. No intentions of winning, just talking with car folks and a good parking spot...
HeyHey all
That picture I posted is all the bumper. It is just the cover, the chrome part...
Yep, that's all I was expecting. I have a good inner. so no point in having you drag that inner steel slug cross country. That picture I posted is all the bumper. It is just the cover, the chrome part...
You mean like this Nova?Probably would have won a lot of shows here. That car is a real attention getter. I've seen a couple big bright Mopars around here that took peoples choice or best of show from a lot full of Fords and Chevies.
wrong year...Is Scampy in da house ??? Painted his car ???
