:rofl::rofl: It probably wasn't a pretty sight!
Sadly I have to jump off as it is Loud Lunch Friday and I need to pack up my kit. Explanation: LLF is when a bunch of us take a mess of pistols to the range and shoot for lunch, hence loud lunch! One of my buddies has never shot a model 29 so I am dragging mine out of retirement and going to let him burn some ammo thru it. We have a blast. Then wash it all down with a burger and adult beverage. Nice way to end a week.

Didn't he just switch to 4 days longer shifts? 10hs I think. He was doing 10 when he was on 8s, so probably in for 12 on 10s. Probably be on later today and you'll be sick of him by Monday.
Good Morning

We've been trying to sign the older kid up for a math class at the local Comm College... He has taken it at our local Comm College three times and not able to take it again... Don't know why they limit you, if it's your money why can't you take it as many times as you need to figure it out.... :realcrazy:

Monday was spent tracking down transcripts from the local Comm college that he attends and his high school... The high school was shut down in the morning for an "institute day" and we had to wait until noon to be able to pick up his transcript.... :BangHead:

So Tuesday we get up early to sign him up at the Joliet comm college... He had to take off some work for this as that was one of his early start days... He had to apply online and it took till 5 PM for him to get the email that he was accepted...

So we get up early on Wed to sign him up, drive all the way out there, and they were closed for a meeting.... :wtf: :icon_fU:

No notice posted on the door the day of or before telling us that they wouldn't be in until afternoon, and he works 6 days a week.... :mob:

Yesterday was one of his early start days and I was able to sleep in a little... My cold has kicked up again from lack of sleep and work... :(

So the kid's so pissed at the Joliet comm college that he's going to sign up today at the comm college in Dekalb, which is near NIU where he is going for his degree and he's sure that the credit will transfer.... :drama:

However it's about a 50 minute drive and $8 in tolls one way per trip.... :(

This will mean that we will be paying $32 per week ($130 per week) plus gas and time for him to go there for class two days per week... :wtf:

We will definitely have to save the I-pass toll refill receipts so he can write the tolls off on his taxes.... :BangHead:

I will be taking a nap in a little bit so I can catch up on some sleep...

Dad used to say, "Red in the head like the dick of a dog". I don't know why he said that but it always made me laugh.

They had a hell of a crash in Palos Heights last Friday not far from my friend Doug's house that closed the road and bridge down that I use to get to his place... Luckily it wasn't when I was going there, but his wife was trying to go that way and had to re-route around it...

It split a fox body Mustang in half... Literally... Look at the picture of the whole car and notice there is no rear wheels/axle... :wtf:

It separated the back of the car from the front... :wtf:

A member sent me a gift, I have never had anything like this piece of old art, he want me to put it in my new shop. I think it should go on a shelf by its self. Just wanted to share, everyone have a great day

Sounds like my experience with college calculus. Come to find out, I really didn't care where the formulas came from or why they worked. Give me the frickin' numbers, I'll plug them in and get on with it!

He had bad teacher(s) in high school that went way to fast for him to absorb some of the math... Then when he tried to get tutoring, he got his same teacher who left him behind...

In addition, he's been out of high school for 7 years and lost some of the basic foundations and dropped the pre calc and failed it the third time when I took it with him at the local comm college two years ago...

So he wised up and started over at basic algebra at the local comm college near his college (NIU) and is now ready to take the pre calc... But our local comm college will only let you take it three times and he has used up all of those chances and has to take it at another college....
