Yep, he’s got it...stage 4. He announced it today. 78 years old.

He says he has to fight it because he has 3 more years left on his contract.

Unfortunately, the mean survival time prognosis for stage 4 is 2-6 months.

Second, I kind of wondered if something was up a few weeks back when he started talking about who he wanted to replace him. Sucks to hear that

My neighbor just died of pancreatic cancer. My age. She was doing real for a couple years. Thought she might be one of the 20% or so that make a least 5 years, but a couple months ago they found it metasticized. Apparently if the cancer starts on the other side of the pancreus there's a much better chance of treatment. So it goes.

Yeah, I lost a colleague to it about 10 years ago. She was only 30 years old with a 4 year old son. She was gone less than a year of diagnosis.

He just totaled his 2017 Maxima SR. The insurance paid off and he got 5 grand in excess of the payoff. So I got him a 2018 Subaru Impreza Hatch sport. 19 grand. 4k on the clock. Not my kind of car but he loves it.

Late afternoon snow fell here today, pretty late but I can't complain compared to most/some of you. Can't wait for it to warm up!
 
:soapbox: I often stop in Giant grocery on the way home from work if we need a few things. Tonight I'm in there and an employee comes up to me and tells me its seven minutes till closing. Like :wtf:. They have been 24/7 for many years, now 6am till midnight. So if I need more than a couple things or running late, it's Wallyworld.
