Morning all
For sure! She makes all kind of subtle hints when we see one then she looks at the price! They have really went up in value the last few years. I think they have great lines. I raced a Pontiac in my early years. I fought the typical header leaks on inboard exhaust ports to the point that I made a set of three pipe headers using a larger tube for center and they worked great. I would be working on it at track or wherever with the hood up and some one always would comment. Man that is one fast V6! Idiots! 8 bright yellow spark plug wires right out in front! There is just something about the side profile on those. No way can I afford one now.
Where else? On the floor!Geez where are you sleeping...
Thinking maybe it was so old and brittle he was afraid to ship it. Wouldn't want that.
All cleared out now, but old owner of the local yard had let me in the 'stash trailers' before he sold out. Amoung them was an old school bus. Had boxes/piles of washer and overflow bottles. Touching them was about like poking balloons with a pin. That is a problem with them for sure.
? Ive been on tempest, is there a special NOS area. Or just putting NOS in the search?Been looking on tempest NOS site. Geez love it!!
I think you need to fluff her pillow.View attachment 1715300516 Morning coffee mob, my hound is on day two of post surgery. I think she may be playing me a bit! Hah! They found staff in three places in her knee. A result of previous surgery. She was running across snow and foot fell thru the hard pack and stayed in place body went other way. Staff samples sent out for analysis then custom antibiotics to fight specific strain. Argh!
Nice!
Chelsea was the same way.Holley hates crunchy snow
Holley was ready to drop a deuce and her foot went through and shifted her balance. Gives me a look like , this is LOLThe other day was pretty funny with the snow with ice on it. Let Harley out to pee, she got in position and starts sliding. Pretty funny she was freaked out!
If you want when you have the old ones off bring them up we can zinc plate the imperfections to see how they look after polished. Works pretty well.Buying another set of bumper guards. He said he probably will ship Tuesday, so wont likely see them till at least end of next week. Tough to tell condition of stuff in photos, but I think they will be good enough to run with the rechromed bumper. If not, I could get them rechromed later. Definitely way better than mine.
Buying full set off a Sport, so fronts are not going to fit, but backs are what I need. The rubber cushions are same all around, so between all the ones I have I can pick best sets to assemble and sell off the rest.
Did find another pair. Just a little too far gone inside to rebuild. Would have been fine to use as-is if my bumper wasn't rechromed.
Really nice looking drivers.

Most of them actually look great outside. It's the insides that rot away. I wonder what vinegar would do to chrome? Would be nice if I could drop them in a soak bucket to clean the insides. If you want when you have the old ones off bring them up we can zinc plate the imperfections to see how they look after polished. How about vapor rust? That does work really well no ide on chrome if it will affect it.Most of them actually look great outside. It's the insides that rot away. I wonder what vinegar would do to chrome? Would be nice if I could drop them in a soak bucket to clean the insides.

For 73 to 76 anyway. I think I have them pretty well figured out. A lot of misconceptions about what interchanges for sure. I can tell most from a picture now. Not that it matters for mine, but I found some labeled as 76 that look similar but apparently only used one bolt. You're going to be the expert on bumperettes!
Yep, that's the set I am getting.Morning guys. I saw you were interested in that set for sale. They looked pretty nice.
So our finally getting a set?Yep, that's the set I am getting.
Don't know. I have had good results with that stuff when its fresh but loses strength too quick for what it costs. For heavy rust vinegar is way better. Just don't want to risk the chrome. I could try on one of my old ones. Problem is I already painted the insides so would need to strip that out first. Or maybe I can find some other old chrome here to test. Maybe an old door handle. Not sure though are they regular steel underneath - that rusts? How about vapor rust? That does work really well no ide on chrome if it will affect it.
