Well my hound had to go to the vet to get bandage removed and reapplied today from serious leg surgery. Keep in mind this is the third time they split her leg open to fix their mistake (staff infection) Dog is super well trained and incredibly cool under duress. Past tense, she has now decided the vet is just not going to get anywhere near her or us. They had to sedate her just to remove bandage. Round 3 results: pissed off Shepard 1, Vet and two techs 0

Had a gutful. And bored silly i bet. Carry her out to the shop, put her on her chair.

So today I am officially down 43 lbs. That’s 6 gallons of body fat. In an effort to wrap my head around what that means, I created this...

WTG!!!

My wife is on day 168 or something close to that with her life style change. She is down 30+lbs. Her change came due to medical reasons. She is on a pretty harsh IMO change. Keto, Paleo and one other combined... Now that she has been on it, its much easier for her to find foods to eat and Im super proud of her for sticking with it and not giving up.

Other news, my brother sold his 65 barracuda (stock class) drag car to a guy from New Zealand. The guys is going to drive it on the street as is with the engine that is in it. The car has a 10sec. 273CI. He just needs to reinstall some of the items like the emergency brakes, and other items to be able to license it. Thought that is pretty cool!

Well when I asked my brother if he was going to swap the engine out he just laughed and nope, he is going to drive it like that...Of course its spooled and reverse manual as well. It would be a work out to drive!

I do like the reverse Manual setup. No more freakin throttle rod on the trans to adjust.

Well TJ I did exactly as you suggested she is in the chair lording over the shop once again. I took off the cone of shame for a couple hours of freedom. Figure it is a reward for her bravery at the vets. Man I would not want to be a vet tech! Hah! She is the one with the shaved leg. I quit shaving mine years ago! Clearly been in the shop to long today!

That sucks.

That sucks.
Yep, it has been quite the ordeal. She went all Shepard on them today. Sometimes I forget what she actually is. Holy smokes she was all business. I have raised her from a fur ball and lose sight that she is a 100 pounds of fury when pissed or scared. She still piles up in my lap even today. Easily best hound I have ever had.

Did some errands today, really to pick up a heater for the shop and some supplies.
Figured I'd give the Pepboys a shot since they always had experienced folks at the counter that I'd recognize. Not today, maybe not anymore. Kid didn't know how to find a speedometer pinion seal, and he's smart enough to say so. So he goes in the back to get help from someone. Comes back and says I have to go to a dealer or order a new instrument cluster. I say "Sorry, but the seal's in the transmission." So he obviously feels foolish and says something about he was given bad info. Yup! he tries to look it up, but then doesn't know if he actually get it. Some nonsense about might have to get it from the manufacturer. OK. Never mind.
Do you have 5/16 transmission hose? Goes back and looks, ask how much. Comes back with 4' and its fuel hose.

They didn't have any Valvoline Brake fluid in stock either. Three strikes and I'm out.
They used to be better than the other box stores.

They don't forget either. She's going to be a PIA at the vet, or at least that vet. Sucks needing to use sedation, especially for something like removing stiches and changing a bandage.
Mine didn't care for going to the vets, but she never got defensive about it, just wanted to leave!
Just over a year ago we needed to remove a growth from the back of her neck. He did it with just a local and me holding her and his assitant handing him the tools etc. Was maybe 1/2 to 3/4" deep. Amazing - at least to me. A couple of stiches and he was done. I came back a week later and one of the assistants took the stiches out.

Good news, paint on hoist started to set up. I guess with hoist on floor overnight it was a little too cool. Raised it to top and got shop up to 78 degrees and a couple hours later it was tacky no more.
Back to work tomorrow.

Gracious me .. 17 pages to catch up on . Got my Sprint Car fix last Friday night at Canyon Speedway in Az. I've been colder, but it's been a while . They've made some improvements to the track since my last visit. Electric still comes from a GenSet, but only one. They installed more permanent lighting. Good car count for a Friday night, and the Sprint Cars had their game on :D. It's good to be home. Littlest granbrat got dunked Sunday. She was a real trooper about it, big Sissy was all bent because the little one was the center of attention.
