Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning from the overcast left coast. One good thing about it, it should keep the moisture in the clay at the circle track and be badfast for the sprints and midgets :D.

Haven't been to an indoor range in a long time. When I do I like to look around to see where all the stray shots hit.

I'm not real sure an indoor range would allow me to use my hand cannon, TC Contender, maybe if I brought 38 specials instead of the 357 Max.

Happy Saturday all you Coffee creatures. I am off to another looooong day of NRA instructor school. Finished my day yesterday as the range RSO. Super long day. So how difficult do you think it is for a pistol shooter at a nice indoor range to manage hitting the sprinkler tip hidden in the ceiling? Which sets off fire alarm, floods range, gets fire trucks rolling, etc etc. that is how I finished my day. I fully understand not every body is a good shot, but come on man!

:BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

Next ball joint almost out. Same problem. Hole saw to cut and recip two slots.
Customer drops off van late last night, wants rear brake pads done before friday. Ok.

❄️ BIG NEWS: As of noon, Waterloo has TIED the all time snowiest season on record. 59.4”. As they say, ‘it ain’t over til it’s over.”

Its official. My ball joint press is destroyed. Push bolt is bent and c clamp is sprung. I got a lot of service from a 100 dollar tool.
Texted my snap on rep.
$869.95
Selling it to me for $764.95.
Its a write-off!
At least next time i may not be able to destroy my tools.
And more work got dropped off.

Car show was nice as usual. Sunny, 70, but windy. Sustained 20-25mph most of the day.
About a 100 cars, fewer than usual, but the threat of rain (it didn't) might of kept some at home.
Car showed well, lots of compliments, and hardware.
Wife called and waiting for the final flight from DC.
I'll go and pick her up at her Mom's in the morning.
Going to cruise night tonight. I'm not taking a car, just going to relax. Its held at a 60 year old vintage hamburger place known as the Pad.
Know for great burgers, homemade fries, and pork tenders.
I've eaten healthy for the last two weeks while she was gone. Think I'll treat myself tonight.

Just did lunch with the brats and granbrats at a similar place here. I'm certain I haven't been there since the middle 90s when I was running the plant in town. Their tradition has carried on with the ownership change. Granbrats leave for Phx in the morning. The little one was wearing her Carhartts just like me :D. 3 hours to Sprint Cars! Be there!

So I picked up a 360 short block and and an extra crank today... free. Looks to be a 77 out of a truck. No idea what I shall do with them, but one idea is to stuff the 360 crank into that poly build down the road.

Hey guys, What's your collector car insurance run a year. Mine is just a little over $200 per car.

Who’s is yours thru? I just have storage insurance on mine right now since none of them are fully safe to driver.

About $350 per year but remember that I live in a fairly densely populated urban area. If I lived up where Hoppy is, it would be around $200.
Dang?!
Oh yeah, my agreed upon value is $35k for the GTS.
That’s good. I just got a quote from Haggerty and mine was 600 a year for the dart estimated at 20,000 , but that was with it selected as a modified street/track car
