Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey guys, What's your collector car insurance run a year. Mine is just a little over $200 per car.
Mine is about $550 a year for three cars, All at agreed value, Vette 75K, Cuda (under construction) 10 k, GTS (under construction ) but not at my house 25K . Taylor Ins Co. ...Pa. somewhere...

Its official. My ball joint press is destroyed. Push bolt is bent and c clamp is sprung. I got a lot of service from a 100 dollar tool.
Texted my snap on rep.
$869.95
Selling it to me for $764.95.
Its a write-off!
At least next time i may not be able to destroy my tools.
And more work got dropped off.

What about the Snap-On lifetime guarantee????

P.S. Wish I had had that on my 92 Ram... But I didnt expect, my son would drive it through the woods.....:eek::eek::eek:

So I picked up a 360 short block and and an extra crank today... free. Looks to be a 77 out of a truck. No idea what I shall do with them, but one idea is to stuff the 360 crank into that poly build down the road.

The main journals on the 360 are larger than the 273/318/340, I'm not sure that you can just drop it in a 318 and go without machining the crank bores in the block and caps for the larger diameter main bearing journals of the 360....

they also made the thrust bearing flange larger on the 360 in mid 74 and you may also have to have that machined to match also...

I knew about the mains but not the thrust bearing. Oh well. It can sit on engine row with the rest of my collection

You may be able to get away with running the 71 - early 74 thrust bearing if you get the main bearing bores enlarged....

Hey guys, What's your collector car insurance run a year. Mine is just a little over $200 per car.
USAA has a antique ca side called American Collectors. They are a company out of New Jersey, very easy to work with.
Mine is about the same as yours with agreed values.

This is a public service announcement:

Stay away from member bigboy68, it's Bob Mills aka Superdart426 & Superdart340 who is a known flipper and has been banned from FABO in the past...

That's the guy that took a slant 6 from Hoppy with the promise to pay him later and never did... :icon_fU: :mob:

He will try to talk you down on your parts for sale with a sob story of some sort, just to turn around and flip them at inflated prices on here and ebay....

I had a deal with him on a set of Commando valve covers and he backed out after I paid for them with the excuse that "his son sold them on him"... I would bet someone offered him more money than he agreed on for me and he sold them to him after our deal was already closed and I had sent payment on Paypal... He did refund my money, but after that, I don't trust him and will never deal with him again... I later learned from a mutual friend that his son does not even live with him...

Repeat: DO NOT DEAL WITH bigboy68....

I have a couple stories about that guy......

I bet you do...

Along with Cudachick who banned him from being a customer because of his shenanigans...

That guy is a piece of "work"... (Substitute another four letter word in place of work if you want to and it will be accurate....)
