Good move, Pete, just reading this Full Moon is not the time for impulse buys, the thing to do right now is stay busy they say, which you always do so you're good.
 
Day 2 of the indoor car show at the SAC Air & Space Museum. They have two hangers one with planes throughout and cars are parked in groups of three or four with the planes. The second hanger has a few big transport size planes and the cars are parked in one large group. The planes and helicopters are all Air Force and look to be all Vietnam era style. A B-17, but nothing really old.
The nice thing is that its indoors and has AC. Lots of very nice cars came out for this first time car show. We’ve met a lot of nice people. Always interesting to hear their car story. Done at 4, load up and start the three hour drive home.

So its delayed pain. You find out after you've over done it, its past time to stop. Who thought that one up?

Today's project (easy) is to get some heavy screen and fit it into the space in front of the door sill to keep leaves from getting stuck in there. Terrible design on fuselage C-bodies.

I have an assortment of that wire mesh screen.
Rodents finding their way into air cleaner housings are common. The wire stops it. Handy stuff.
Made a basket for my parts washer. Also a screen for my oil drain, so no more fishing for lost drain plugs.
 
Mama's new ride! The turbocharged 2 liter really scats. The automatic parking feature is kind of freaky though. The salesman folded his arms and let the car steer itself into the spot.

Mike, is it super quiet when you are driving? Buicks I have driven recently are quieter than Cadillacs, spoiled me for other new cars.

It is very quiet. I was impressed. They use triple door weatherstrip I read somewhere. This one is the Premium II so it has every option except a moon roof (which is ok in my book) It does everything but wipe your butt. (as my Dad used to say) {RIP}

I called 911 on the way home from work last night. Strong smell of natural gas one spot I drove through...Don't know if they found anything.

Not sure what I will do today... Probably not much that qualifies as work. Maybe clean up my ever accumulating mess in the garage. Maybe start digging through parts for Carlisle.
I got some more deck rails coated yesterday. Also did both sets of steps. Put down one coat and spread grit sand in it. Then another coat over to set it in good. A little drizzle now and likely storms late afternoon. Might get more pressure washing and sanding done this week. But probably no more finish till next weekend with chance of rain every day.
 
Morning. Happy Father’s Day everyone

So far, 4 confirmed tornadoes here last night, 5 more being investigated today. That one the news was claiming as an F4 last night, confirmed as a F2. Not surprised there.

We’re still getting some heavy storms, 4.5 inches of rain since 930 pm last night has the ditches and streams way over flowing
